Basically that says it all, I remember hearing Havok with their first release years back and thinking, yeah they're good. But especially now, sound like Death Angel, meets Metallica. And with New School Thrash there just aren't hardly any bands with a unique sound like the old 80's thrash metal bands had. They're just rehashing it imo. A few bands that are better imo are Evile (even if they do sound like Metallica they do it better), Create A Kill (a cross of Exodus and Slayer), Power Trip (old Sepultura), and very few others. There is just no real way to expand on this worn out sound. Good musicians (yes), original sound (no). Also ripping off (Metallica) Blackened at the beginning seems cool, but after it's over, you realize it really wasn't. Sorry but I have to be the outcast here.
