In my opinion, this is the best book so far in the Were Zoo series. I was hoping one of the alphas would find their soulmate and that it was Joss, who had to kill his son (per shifter law) for almost exposing the shifters' existence at the zoo in the first book because of petty stuff, was even better. Both Joss and Jeane (hope that's spelled right) were likeable, as were the secondary characters. Heck, I didn't even mind that they were both older (47 and 42, respectively), when I don't usually go for stories when both main characters are older. The sex was good, though it wasn't the main focus, their getting to know each other and Jeane coming to terms with finding out about shifters and how she'd fit into the pack, was. Trouble came in the form of Joss mating a human and his evil brother (and his cronies) trying to take over as alpha because of it. I'm so glad that the author went back to the original premise for the Were Zoo series, which was the zoo sending out invitations for private tours of the zoo to eligible human women and men so the shifters could have a chance of finding their soulmates since finding soulmates among other shifters was rare & getting rarer. This author has made shifters in this series be a little different than most of the other shifter stories I've read by other authors, in that it appears the shifters in the Were Zoo books age at the same rate as humans. In all of the other shifter books I've read, shifters age really slowly & live a really long time (which is passed on to their human mates when they mate them). Each book in this series is a stand-alone so you don't have to read the other books to find out what's happening.
This is the ninth book in the Were Zoo series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, humor, mystery/secrets, surprises, family, friends/friendships, anger, fear, pain, conflict, resolution, confusion, confidence, strength, courage, trust, truths, stubbornness, struggles, fighting, betrayal, loyalty, protection, frustration, determination, arrogance, annoyance, evil, patience, happiness, romance, passion/lust and love. This story is about an older human female and an older wolf who fall in love. But trouble comes in the form of his evil brother who is trying to take over as alpha. Read to find out what happens. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed this book and this review is my own opinion.
I absolutely enjoy reading this story it's fascinating with awesome characters that are charming and believable and very entertaining. This is definitely a magnificent series and Jose is very suspenseful with just the right amount of drama, their relationship is emotional with sizzling hot passion. This is a unforgettable heartwarming story that you will find it's hard to put your reader down without finishing their story so if you enjoy a exciting paranormal romance then you will definitely enjoy this one. Actually I have enjoyed all nine books in this series so if it's your first that's okay because each book can be read out of order and you will find that each one is absolutely amazing and you may be like myself and read them twice because they are such a thrilling experience.
Another wonderful story by this amazing author and a great addition to this series. It's about time one of the alphas found their soulmate. This story touches on a bit of everything....action, suspense, drama, laughter, tears (for me), hot sexy times and lots of love. Love seeing some of the characters from previous books and catching up with them a bit, always a bonus. Looking forward to the next adventure.
This was 9th book in this series. The storyline starting out very much like the previous books in this series. By chance it changed everything and it began all new things that weren't the norm in the pack. This was entertaining and interesting to see how everything progressed. It was quite different from the previous books in this series that violence was part of the story. This was a great read.
Loved how things turned out for Joss and Jeanie, J&J😊. But the path going forward was like threading on water..And a betrayal that happens the way it did here was so not right. But Joss as Alpha did his duty and won the challenge, and Jeanie oh sweet Jeanie did well as Alpha female. Oh I just love a happy ending, but do we really have to wait a whole year for Neo's story..big fan as always Winzie19☺💞.
Joss is the Alpha of the wolves. Jeanie is a human. Joss meets Jeanie when she comes to the park for a VIP tour. He knows immediately that she is his soulmate. There is a scuffle. Loved this one. So glad thankEd was able to finally be happy. I had no idea he had such a sad life. Jeanie also has a sad background but she is happy now. Can't wait for the next one.
This latest book in the series is Joss, who is the alpha of the wolf pack, and Jeanie who is given a VIP pass to the zoo by her friend. A mating with a human is okay as long as you aren't the alpha. Now Joss is in for an unexpected visitor and challenge that may ruin everything, including his and his mate's lives. Very well written! I really love this series.
Joss believes he does not deserve a Mate due to life choices he’s made in the past. Jeanie’s neighbor give her the VIP Zoo ticket she can’t use, but ends in tears when the tour guides say she too old. The Guides call their boss, and Joss meets his Mate. Now he just needs to get Jeanie to love him and believe in Shifters. But danger is coming for them both.
