Kids for sure have an abundance of imagination, but in the dark, this can be quite a tricky skill. This beautifully illustrated, not-so-scary picture book gives an example on how to overcome a fear of darkness. Additionally, as all Mrs. Maguire's books, it has a sweet ending. Great read.
This is a fun read with some imaginative fonts that will delight children! Many readers can relate to being scared of the dark. This charming story will reassure children at bedtime by making them giggle!
In the dark, everything looks scary, and it’s very true for the little boy whose imagination keeps running wild at night. When the ‘monster’ who visits him isn’t what he has been fearing, he wakes up realizing that his fear had been all due to his imagination. The story and illustrations are lovely and children are taught not to be afraid of the dark.
This is such a cute children's read about being afraid of the dark. This was definitely me as a child and sometimes even now as an adult. Children overcoming their fear of the darkness is so important because it relieves them of what children call the "big bad monster" that seems to only appear in dark areas. Great job with this book! Looking forward to more from this author :-)
