An amusing cocktail of bumbling, bashing and debunking bloodthirsty pagan beliefs
Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2020
A delightful mixture of a bumbling (but usually successful) sleuth, and hard-boiled ex-military private eye and a network of people deluded into following a bloodthirsty cult leader. In the process, Patricia knocks out and ties up a prospective suitor, attends a party and a church council meeting in her underwear, has an arrest warrant issued against her, and enlists a crowd of septuagenarian villagers to fight the cult. Quite usual for Patricia Fisher. The addition of Blue Moon Investigations and its tough-guy leader adds spice to the tale. I want to read all of Steve Higgs' books, but he seems to write them faster than I can read them.
