IF WE COULD SEE FOREVER by Gadi Bossin is a touching and mesmerizing novel with brilliantly drawn characters and settings. Gadi Bossin weaves a well-crafted romantic story of love and longing, based on true events, that will captivate the reader’s attention from the start. I was drawn into the story and this book definitely tops the list of the best books I have read this year.
Geddy Mason falls in love with 17-year-old Annie Yousefian, an exotic undergraduate from Iran, he considers abandoning his dream to move to Israel. However, when he graduates, he leaves Annie brokenhearted in Indiana…2006, Israel. Despite abandoning Annie, he continues to think of her and his love for her never diminishes. After quite a while Geddy discovers Annie will be the featured speaker at a conference in Ottawa. He decides he must go to her, risk all his memories, try to make amends. He ponders over whether Annie will turn him away or will she welcome him, accepting that life had other plans for them.
This was a captivating read that had me immersed from the beginning. I enjoyed the story, character development, and dialogue. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book this much.
I’ll be looking forward to reading more from Gadi Bossin in the future. I would highly recommend this book.
