Nicely made, but a bit disappointing for Le Creuset
Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2020
This is a well crafted baking dish. No irregularities or blemishes. But it's a bit disappointing that there aren't any visible markings to indicate it's Le Creuset.
Part of the appeal of this brand is the cache associated with its quality and cost. It's cool seeing the Le Creuset marks on our Sauteuse and dutch ovens, and feeling the pride of ownership... "We finally were able to get the best."
This baking dish has no such markings. And without them, it's just another piece of stoneware imported from China (unlike their cast iron products, which are made in France). Without the Le Creuset marks, you might as well pay half the price and get similar quality.
