I really struggled to get through the book because the plot line because there is nothing plausible about it. I simply had to suspend too much disbelief. It needed an editor to shore up the holes (an intern who says she had done a lot of research on a company, but doesn't recognize the CEO? a CEO who spends anytime with an intern other than to say welcome at the orientation meeting? a CEO that handpicks an intern who just got there for promotion based on nothing but being pretty and "people skills" but he is staying objective and positive office culture is important to him?) There were so many of these dichotomies, I found it frustrating. The author telling there reader the different reality does not erase the characters' actions. Also, the phrase is: "couldn't care less", not "could care less". The book is not pretending to be more than it is, a light read, so I knew I could expect a predictable plot line and known conclusion, but this book could have been so much better with some attention to those details.
