My previous score was a 1490, and I'm trying to get above a 1520. I am very reliant on the SAT books to help me practice, and it is relatively easy for me to notice the development of books in relation to the SAT. This book is okay for timing yourself with sections. But the questions are not resembling those on the actual SAT. Some questions are too obvious, while others have multiple correct answers. When reviewing the test, answer explanations are vague. For example for the question "The author uses the fact that no bees are found in a hive after a colony collapses to...", the correct answer is "refute the possibility that pathogens are the reason for the collapse." The explanation for this question simply says "The author wants to stress the fact that research has shown that pathogens are not the reason for the colony collapse. Choice (C) is the correct answer". Just restating the answer and no explanation for why my answer (D) was wrong. Very difficult to practice this way.
Many of the answer choices are as such: rushed, vague, and only 2-3 sentences. Can't say I got good value from this book.
