This sweet, beautifully rhymed and illustrated story charmed our whole family. Overheard last night, as my daughter finished reading it to my 4 year old grandson, "Mommy, I only want to read books about crayons from now on." This one will clearly be a favorite for a long time.
Wonderfully written and illustrated book that will delight young artists. Perfect story for explaining how primary colors mix to form secondary colors. Very creative and useful tool for teachers, camp counselors, parents and grandparents alike.
This children's book has the fingerprints of labors of love all over it from the realistic and impressionistic illustrations to the delightful rhyming and meaningful words. Oh the creative possibilities in life when we begin with the primary colors of experience. Of course we all need a little help as the answers to mastering new challenges can be right in front of our noses and we can be blind to them. This is a children's book that is fun to read on many levels and meanwhile, holds important life lessons for young impressionable minds. There are changeable forms and immutable forms. Yet in our imaginations we can mix and match both and who knows what wonderful things we can give birth to. I hope some teachers will use a book of this nature to foster better race relations in the schools. I congratulate the creators of this enjoyable and meaningful children's book on a job well done.
This book is based around such a sweet concept...overcoming challenges and using creativity to solve problems. So well written. Every few years a children's book comes out that I want to buy and give to all my friends' kids as gifts and this one is going to the top of the list. Love it!!!
