Top critical review
Good overall product. But first impressions are everything.

So first off I was looking for something different than my usual high priced CAT phones. I won't get into those since i am not reviewing that, just wanted a background to show that I am used to using rugged phones.
So first I am curious where they get the charger from. It is a USB type C, but the insert is longer on the one provided with this phone. I tried using my cord and it did not insert enough to "lock in". If I use my non provided cord it would charge if I let it sit and not touch it. And yes, my cord is not damaged or wore out. I even looked at a new Samsung cord and it had the same length difference.
Second, I had to turn off the fingerprint sensor. it was constantly waking the phone just by touching it. I am used to waking the phone then using the scanner. Just not used to it, and my opinion.
Also the power button is really close to the volume button. I am still getting used to not turning the phone off when i just want to reduce the volume, or hitting the volume when trying to wake the phone. Again not a big issue, just frustrating while I learn the phone.
One thing that is baffling to me is the proximity sensor for when you are on the phone. It is on top of the phone.... I have had times that when I am done with a call, my phone is trying to access the bridge of the Enterprise. The screen stays up and gets into all different apps and settings. Very frustrating.
I am also disappointed in the ear piece volume. I work outside and is already difficult to hear, but the volume on this phone is not great. I have looked for settings, found a volume boost but that only seems to help the larger speaker which I have had to start using since the ear piece is lacking.
Lastly, might not be an issue, but I notice that the camera lens cover protrudes from the phone enough to be a base for what the phone sits on when you set it down. Not sure if this is gorilla glass or kryptonite, but I see it getting scratched over time and loosing the camera clarity. (Which the camera is awesome by the way!!)
Since it asked for battery life, So far it is great. I leave my screen on full bright and bluetooth stays connected all day either streaming music of calls in the truck. I will spend about two hours a day in social media apps or games and the battery will last close to 36hrs on a charge. Not bad in my book.
