Mainly like the dinner options

Since my job keeps me super busy, I was looking for a book to help me to just prep and meal and throw it in the slow cooker without having to be in the kitchen for hours.
I like how she talks about the various types of slow cookers. I agree with her that the oval shape one is best for large meals. She talks about things about slow cooking that I didn't know. Like, if you open the top before the food is complete you have to add twenty more minutes to cooking.
One tasty dish was the jalapeno poppers. I had a similar dish at a relative's house at a party. So glad now I can make this myself. This appetizer is super easy to make.
In this book, the section I was mainly interested in is the dinner foods. She has all occasions of food but things like Chai tea and breakfast items are not really appealing to me. She has a nice selection of soups and chili. The groud beef chili is mouth-watering. One of my favorites is the garlic chicken with kale.
She also has some vegan soups too. I am trying to eat more meatless foods. There are several meals that I am not accustomed to so for now I am sticking with what I know like beef stews, chicken soup, chili, etc..
One really yummy dish is the spinach and black bean enchilada pie. I like being able to layer the tortilla in the cooker and do all in one. I was able to review a copy of this book at no charge.
