To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I picked this up after reading a review on InfoQ; Jonathan is one of those practitioners I admire greatly, and I've pilfered content from his book The Agile Samurai more times than I legally should admit. This book is what I think is the first book in the "post-Agile" world; capital-A agile is moving from a novelty to a standard practice, and this book acknowledges that as such.
This is a book about orienting your organization to deliver the best value for your customers, and at speed and in control...not about "transformation" or "devops", but about the holistic environment that you need in order to compete, specifically if you're in an Enterprise space and you're looking longingly at these start-up cultures that seem to come out of nowhere and snatch giant pieces of the market. If you work in a large org this book is for you, regardless if you're in IT or not.
