Another walk on the wild side of drugs, cartels, money and betrayal. Set in the beautiful country of Colombia, the war between good and bad seems never ending. Mr. Fox has woven a story, although fiction, having a strong foothold in reality. The characters evolve from strong to stronger befitting their emotions at the time. The descriptions of the fighting scenes are vivid and harsh. The savagery is not for the faint of heart. Be advised-you're gonna love it. Highly Recommended. I was give this as a beta read. The review is my honest opinion
Warring factions, each believe they have the right way to move forward. Both feel that eye for an eye violence is the way to move forward. Each using deception to draw others in to do their dirty work for them. Collateral damage on both sides. In this book Miguel Diaz (Kyle Macdonald) is drawn into the middle of the fight and must decide who and what to believe and trust and decide how to move forward. When to use force and violence and when and how to play the role of peacemaker. Great action, characters you can love, or love to hate. Another hit by author Christopher Fox. Can be read as a stand alone novel, and fits well into the continuing series. I received a free advanced reader copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Disclaimer: I received an advance reader copy of the book, and this is my honest review.
Kyle MacDonald finds himself in a conflict of interest as he heads to Cali, Colombia under yet another alias as Miguel Domingo. An acquaintance has requested his assistance in locating and eliminating the man who killed the woman he loved. When Kyle’s team realizes where he has gone, they also travel to Cali to find him.
This book is full of suspense as the factions go head to head, and Kyle finds himself in the middle of an attempt to overthrow cartel bosses. Ruthless killings, drugs, lies, and revenge are top of the order in this suspense-filled drama. This is a must read, especially if you are a Kyle MacDonald fan.
What a fabulous action adventure novel. What do you do when you want revenge for the death of your family when you are surrounded by lies and deception? Everyone wants to control the outcome. Miguel returns to Columbia without his team members knowledge to seek revenge. Who to trust, who to believe, who are the deceivers? Non stop action from ambush to ambush in a search for the truth. Miguel’s team joins him on this rampage of revenge within rival cartels and their internal strive to become top dog. Well developed characters with endearing qualities and a fast paced engaging story line.
Miguel is on the move again – this time to Columbia – to work with Roberto, a senior cartel leader, to take down Fernando Lopez, Head of the Cali cartel. Miguel had learned from Roberto that Fernando was responsible for the deaths of Miguel’s friend/family. Little does Miguel know that he has been set up. Roberto is using him to advance his own agenda – to become the next cartel boss when Fernando is out of the way. From the moment Miguel arrives in Columbia the adventure begins. A failed attempt on his life, ordered by the cartel, brings his team from Costa Rica, to join him. The non-stop action continues in true cartel style - deception, kidnapping, violence, senseless killing, as the team tries to stay alive. Even mediation, in an attempt to end the feud and stop the bloodshed, fails. This latest book from author Christopher Fox is an excellent read and highly recommended, and although fiction, it could be happening in reality today. It brings to mind a term I heard on a Netflix series about feuding drug cartels “there is no good or bad, it’s win or lose, live or die”.
I am an ARC reviewer. Chris Fox has done it again. Using the name of Miguel Domingo our hero travels to Co!umbia to try to unravel the mystery of who killed his ex girlfriend Jenny. The story has many twists and turns as Kyle tries to unravel the truth. It's a real page turner. I highly recommend it.
If you are a Chris Fox like I am you will really enjoy his latest novel The Columbia Deception . Along with hero Miguel Diaz, aka Kyle MacDonald , we get to revisit an old girlfriend from Lost Loot of Lima , Jenny . Not the way we expect though. An old foe deceives Miguel and team and involves them in a fight with the cartel . Lots of action , excitement, romance , suspense from beginning to end . Great read Heather H
