I have a sense of accomplishment doing the puzzles in this book because of the time and effort it requires. My favorite part of the book is trying to complete the personal quotes by Alex Trebek. It is fun trying to unscramble the letters to finish each word puzzle. Jeopardy is truly the only game show that encourages learning. This quote resonates with me, and it is probably one of the reasons why I love watching Jeopardy so much.
The most challenging part is trying to figure what word matches with which clue in the word scramble puzzles. I learned that Puerto Rico is the only Caribbean island that is an United States territory. I enjoy reading literature and learning new things about pop culture from the sixties. Miranda Powell complies a lot of information about these subjects in two very enjoyable word scrambles. This puzzle book is insightful and entertaining because of the diversity of information it contains.
An amazing compilation of quiz search puzzles, jumbles, word search puzzles and Jeopardy trivia that will provide countless hours of enjoyment for anyone from a casual watcher to an obsessed, addicted fan!!! This is a real innovative puzzle book. The quiz search challenges are multi-level. In order to solve a quiz-word search puzzle you first have to correctly answer a real Jeopardy quiz Q&A to get the word for which you have to search. An incredible amount of research had to go into this book in order to come up with the variety and panoply of puzzles offered. The book is not only jam packed with countless hours of Jeopardy related fun and games, it is a wonderful value for the money. I can't imagine anyone who has watched Jeopardy more than once not liking this book. An undeniable 5 Star rating!!!
This puzzle book is great for the numerous fans of the Jeopardy television series. It allows you to relive the show with each themed puzzle. Many reminders of how this was considered a great game show by many.
The book is filled with word searches that features interesting categories such as Biggest Jeopardy Winners,Celebrity Contestants,Popular Categories,Countries with a version of Jeopardy and Alex Trebek.
The clues and puzzles are in large print and easy on the eyes. The book is 8 1/2 X 11 in. size. Hours of great entertainment that's relaxing, enjoyable and fun!
A perfect gift for any fans of the Jeopardy! series
I've purchased several of Miranda Powell's puzzle books (Friends, Downton Abbey, Seinfeld) and enjoyed immersing myself in the trivia and and puzzles. Her JEOPARDY! book is equally engaging, especially if you're as big a fan of the TV show as I am. I especially liked the many categories and questions being from former Jeopardy shows. Very authentic. As went through the book, I also discovered that the questions' difficulty was on par with the show - I found myself knowing about 1/2 of them and then could solve the ones I didn't know. Highly recommended!
This book is absolutely great. An unofficial "spin-off" from the television show Jeopardy. You can do word searches, trivia questions, word jumbles, and quiz searches. Define quiz searches: You are asked a quiz question, when you have the correct answer then you do a word search on that word. You have to have the correct answer of course or you will never find it. Approximately 58 pages. Pages are 8 1/2 x 11 inches. Paper is of very nice quality and this book is a pleasure to own and work on. Highly recommended.
My family has been having fun with this workbook. The word searches are designed for you to answer a trivia question then find the answer on the search grid. Never fear if you can't figure out the answer, you can look in the back of the book if you need to. There are also word jumbles which my son is particularly fond of. Over all we have really enjoyed this book, it was a good way to spend some family time.
I got this book as a gift and I am so delighted with it. The variety of puzzles is great: some of them are easier for my brain and others a true challenge. It is fun todo do with my spouse as we each have our areas of expertise. What an ingenious way to combine various puzzling styles. Congratulations, Miranda, on a wonderful addition to your series.
I really enjoy these puzzle books during quarantine! The books use large print, which makes it easy to see and read. The puzzles are all themed appropriately. I love the thick pages to keep the ink from bleeding through. This one is perfect who are a fan of the show "Jeaopardy" for sure!
A good variety of puzzles and trivia. I had never done a word search where you had to answer the question in order to find out what word to search. They are themed, which is nice. Learned lots of fun information about Jeopardy in the trivia section.
This is an assorted, wildly eclectic edition by Meredith B. and I suspect the Puzzler is somewhere working hard in those shadows. We read about one of the greatest--if not *the* greatest--directors of all time, Alfred Hitchcock, and the minutae of his work with the temperamental Cary Grant--and all this in a "fill in" section which is obviously detailed and not some collection of generalities thrown together.
This is in a questionnaire, a form this book is replete with, and we also read a great, great deal from Alex Trebek, legendary host of Jeopardy. A Mark Twain figure in private, we find his unrevealed self by his quotes, replete throughout the jeopardy sections in the book.
This, entries about Edgar Allan Poe's birthplace, and some of the most little known facts and facets of American History. Shakespeare makes an appearance in this cast of characters. The Queen of Witches, The Weird Sisters, jumbled esmereldas, and, of course, Macbeth. Here the editor has invented some new forms the for the Crossword, and the jumble, and enervated all of it.
Again, the imagination station launches the most impractical of beautiful weapons here. With "rhyme time" we have a vixen crate, a solar Beretta, and phrases that will not normally be found in a crossword puzzle book.
Meredith Baxter and Old Town Publishing are doing very well.
