Let me start off with what I don't like. I don't like the clarity of the description. To be clear, the camera is 1080 and the lens is 8mp which is a 4k lens. So, it is not a 4k camera. With that said it looks perfect for the price. Image is clear and the color is exactly what I was looking for. It gives a natural feel in the onscreen image. I'm pretty impressed actually.

IDK if you can get an actual 4k webcam but for 1080 this one looks amazing and I recommend it for any hobbyist or anyone doing lots of virtual meetings.

Check the FPS! This one was 11!

I was looking to upgrade my 11-year old Logitech webcam because it is old and doesn't handle light very well like newer cameras. I took a chance on this off brand. Don't do it. Yes, the lighting looks better, but 3 things:

1) It is NOT true 4k like it advertises
2) It does not mention fps, but when I did a quick online test, the feedback was "11". My old logitech camera has nearly 30. As a result, my webinar was choppy and there was A LOT of lag.
3) It doesn't offer zoom or any settings at all.

If you do a lot of zoom meetings, etc. you need a higher FPS (frames per second). I'm going to bite the bullet and get another Logitech webcam with 60fps.

The TITLE and description of this camera, to say it at least, is misleading. As the other have pointed out, this is NOT 4K camera, I repeat this is NOT 4K camera. My mistake is that I have not read reviews before the purchase. This camera description is like: advertising Corvette with Yugo engine. This should not be allowed on Amazon.

Update: I was contacted by XPCAM and even though I received a refund from Amazon for my return, XPCAM offered to ship a replacement at no cost. Hats down to them for standing behind their products. I haven't received it yet but when I do I will give it a try again, maybe it was just a fluke since others have had luck with this product. Will revise my review from 1 star to 4 stars for support.

I can't take any credit for the quality of this webcam. I want to thank the review community. I actually just read alot of the reviews and one of them said this beats out a $100 Logitech camera. I was looking for business quality for video chatting. Bingo. This hit the mark. Easy yes!

You could get it slower and reduce the price $9 dollars or get it in under 28 hours like me and pay the full price of $40...😂😂😂 Are you kidding! Get to me now.

Camera Quality
Immediately it is on par with $1700 iPhones which blew my mind. No pixels. No clipping. In fact...it looks 60 fps. My signal looked crisp and strong and I do recommend having 50 Mbps or better. No blur here. Clean up your room and make your bed. This thing shows all the folds. Seeing my hair made me self conscience...lol but that's a good thing. It motivates me to look good before I get on. I can see the wall textures, the wrinkles in my bed, lines in my forehead and all the subtle tone changes in my face alone. There is zero clipping so try not to look goofy because it picks up everything.

Auto Focus
There is no Auto Focus from what I can tell, but it seems to artificially make everything in lens pick up in detail. My camera sits above a 40 inch 4k monitor and I don't need to move back or scoot forward because I can see my bed clearly behind me. Everything comes into focus and no bohek effect.

Picture Quality
I mentioned me having a 4k tv. I never thought about it but a testament to this cheap Thanos of a camera is it's pushing a very crisp image to a 4K HDR 10 television, to the point it looks YouTube starter friendly. I'm talking 20,000 subs good. This is the perfect starter camera to build any audience and commands respect.

Extra. I own a Focusrite Solo 3rd Gen. Behringer Ultravoice $19.00 mic. Amazon Basic mic cable 6 feet. This is a deadly combination and each one of these devices output more performance than your investment, you will have to spend hundreds more no exageration to even begin to hear a night an day difference. I also own OneOdio wired headphones at $32.99 and these are also a trusted brand for quality.

Final thoughts. I love helping others find treasures and save money, but for those who are impulsive, but try to at least spread the bank a little and not take hits because you're trying to save. This is a guilt free buyers remorse purchase for me, but I only speak for me. I know there are tons of qualifiers and I have zero camera experience, but I will say this as a hint. I am in a Long Distance committed relationship and I will be sending the misses one too.

I like that this webcam is small and portable to take with you or not. It fits my laptop perfectly and if I want to travel and take it will me I can. The picture quality is very good and microphone picks up my voice easily. This will be my go to microphone instead of my laptops built in one. I like the lens cap as well and I am satisfied with it.

Not compatible with MS Teams

Quality feels just ok and price point is clearly opportunistic as most of the big brand cameras are sold-out. This is a very basic camera priced the same as high quality Logitech cameras which are way better and brings way better technology but are sold-out everywhere.
I bought it for work video calls. The 4K and 8mp made me hopeful that I would not regret despite knowing I was being ripped-off. In my first call with it my co-workers reported it looked way better than with my prior 5 years old 720p Rocketfish and I was optimistic but I did get a feeze in MS Teams that I did not associate with the camera. In my second MS Teams video call this camera would freeze and crash MS Teams every two minutes. I finally unplugged it, got back to the Rocketfish and kept the meeting going uneventfully.
I did not have a chance to test it with Zoom and Skype as I boxes it and sent it back immediately but I can tell it is not fully compatible weather with MS Teams or with Windows 10.

Camera works well enough, but pretty 'zoomed in'

Background: I use this camera daily on my desktop for Teams calls and occasionally on Zoom and Skype.

Physical form: The camera sits nicely on top of my monitor, however it's not really secured there. It's lightly touched on the front and back, but I can easily lift it up or knock it off. I really like the movable lens cap. You never know who is unintentionally watching, but the lens cap gives me piece of mind that they can't see anything.

Tech general: Windows 10 easily and automatically picked up the drivers and it was working within a few seconds on Teams. It's easy to pick and choose which camera/mic input you want (thanks to Windows, not this device in particular).

Video: The picture quality is good, however the camera is more "zoomed in" and not as wide of an angle as I expected. From using several brands of laptops, this camera is definitely a smaller field of view and looks much closer at my face.

Audio: I use a separate integrated mic/speaker device to prevent echos during calls, so I do not use this camera's mic at all.

If this has 4k resolution, then pigs fly! Horrible picture quality, terrible adapting to light conditions, and the lens is super zoomed in to almost comical proportions. My existing 720p webcam from a major webcam manufacturer has better picture quality.

Real Disappointment

I have tried to like this camera, but to find out soon after purchasing that it isn't even really a 4K camera doesn't help. I decided I could live with that for the price, but I've finally given up on trying to make this camera work for me. Here are my issues:

1) Picture quality: I get better picture quality out of my built-in laptop camera. As already mentioned, this is not 4k, and the image is pretty poor.
2) Color balance: The color balance is consistently off on this camera, and I cannot find any software that allows you to change it. I am magenta in all videos I use this for. I do not have this problem with any other camera I use. I can sometimes adjust the other settings to make it workable, but it is never good.
3) Software: This doesn't come with software for adjusting the settings, and other software, such as OBS, do not seem to work well with it.
4) Gimmicky: The "UNIQUE PLAY/PAUSE FUNCTION & ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY" is worthless. It certainly pauses the video, showing your hand adjusting something on the camera. If you think this will allow you to appear as if you are paying attention while not actually on video, you'll be disappointed.

It's not all bad though. It does have a good microphone, and I do like the privacy cover. I'm wishing I never wasted my money on it though.

Bad Cam - Use Your Smartphone Instead

I was rooting for this "4K" webcam but it is extremely disappointing, especially for the price (even though it was 25% off at the time of my purchase). The camera suffers from inaccurate colors (example, reds appear orange). On the plus side, with regards to video quality, there's not a whole lot of noise in the picture, especially compared to a laptop camera. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the microphone as it is EXTREMELY noisy with a steady hiss. Wait for the restocking of Logitech products or better yet, use your smartphone which is what I am going to do.
