I enjoy reading Keira’s books. These clans that she has in her books are so special. They may be too good to be true but I always feel good when I have finished one. They are stand alone but you can still follow the series and find out more about Clan Grant and clan Ramsey.

ADULT Medieval🏰 Romance 💕and Adventure with numerous kidnappings.
The book is too long when the same character gets kidnapped or captured more than once!

There were some silly mistakes and continuity errors and the book could have used another editing. It's overall a fun story of two young Scots who must deceive others and hide their 💘love. Abuse of a fami!y member by her father and ADULT scenes make it unsuitable for anyone but ADULTS.
Based on true history of the period, but the involvement of the women in warfare at the time is mostly FANTASY.

The author conveniently forgets that horses leave tracks and are easy to follow, especially a group of horses.

She sits in a corner at the festival under the orders of her father when Alick notices her and asks her to dance. She is too afraid of what her father would do but agrees. Her father raises his hand to strike her when Alick intervenes. Then their romance begins. This book has action, suspense, betrayal, kidnapping, power, and love. I enjoyed it but didn’t feel the attraction between these two that I felt between Alisdair and Emmaline or Els and Joya. Still worth reading.

There are so many strong female characters. And I just love how Mrs. Montclair has the strong female characters interacting with the strong male characters. We meet and instantly fall in love with 2 new characters. And you are rooting for her and her new love every step of the way. This book is beautifully written. I read it all in one day because it was so good I couldn’t put it down. I was disappointed when it ended because I didn’t want to leave.
