Helena is so full of knowledge, wisdom, insight, & energy. Her book gives concise, actionable steps to creating content. I love the 3 Es—content should be Enlightening, Engaging, & Entertaining—and, of course, the 4th E — Earning (i.e., it should make you some money). I love her suggestion to write down 20 assumptions about your product or topic—then question those assumptions. As a result, you'll then have a ton of subjects for your future blog posts. Brilliant. It's a quick read but full of knowledge nuggets for you…
Wow. There's a new Queen of Content Creation in town...and her name is Helena Escalante! As a leadership consultant, adjunct professor at NYU and Columbia, TEDx speaker, blogger, and, most recently, an author, myself, I have been creating content for many, many years. It was not until I read this book, however, that I realized that I pretty much had absolutely no idea what I've been doing this entire time! Alright...maybe I did...a little. But I was just winging it. Now that I've read this incredibly insightful and inspiring book, I will look at content creation in an entirely new light...and see every piece of content I produce through an entirely -- and far more powerful -- new lens.
What a powerful little book! I have Ben dragging my feet for MONTHS to create a content strategy for my coaching business, and this little book did what many courses and coaches failed to do! It is concise and waffle free. If you go through each exercise as you read it you’ll have great content, or at least the beginnings of a strategy, in a matter of 2 days max.
It’s a great book for new business owners, and people who have been around too! Thank you Helena!
Most books on branding and content creation spend hundreds of pages focusing on theory instead of practical advice. Don’t be deceived and think that this book lacks depth based on the number of pages. In this short book you will find high value, immediately actionable content. You will finish it and wish the author would write another book soon. It’s no fluff and entertaining. Applying the lessons inside will save hours of strategic content planning and development.
I've seen books 4x this size have fewer helpful tips and engaging ideas. Helena us succinct and ridiculously helpful at helping create a content strategy for your business. I'm a content strategist and I found it helpful!
This is a great guide to developing content. While I was reading , it helped trigger many ideas to use and implement. I especially like reading it on my Amazon Fire because I can take advantage of underlining key points as well as add notes for further reference and reflection. A real win win when you’re trying to get the most out of a guide like this. Found this to be very helpful.
An excellent short book packed with ideas and practical use cases. I love how the author expand her points with examples. What I found very beneficial is the last chapter on content idea generation. It's an easy read and you can go thru the entire book within an hour.
