Overall, I find this product to be useful. Every swivel and slide point has a lock, it's made of aluminum, and it has a handle for manned panning. I also like that there are two ways you can screw the phone clamp on; I assume the orientation flat to the mounting base is better for selfies. The phone clamp also flips between portrait and landscape. There lots of fun features that I wouldn't have thought to look for like that.
Completely extended, the top of the phone clamp measures 4"8" from the base. Each leg of the tripod extends to 2'5" away from the other legs. At it's smallest, it measures 1'7" tall and the rubber feet are 11" from each other. It fits well on a tabletop.
The included selfie button took no time at all to connect to my phone. Just hold for 4 seconds and it will start connecting. Hold for 4 seconds again and it will turn off.
In order to be fair, there are a few things I am not crazy about. While the back of the phone clamp is padded with foam, the teeth are just plastic. If they were foam or rubber, I'd feel better about clamping my phone in with the spring. It fits my S8, but if you have a large phone wider than 3.5", it's not going to fit.
They kept costs low on the selfie button, which helps us, the consumer. However, it is not my favorite battery compartment to reassemble because there's a fine line between breaking it and fitting it.
The aluminum legs are clamped by plastic pieces, which I cannot yet knock, but will be holding onto the 2-year warranty card.
Finally, in order to pan, one must either apply downward torque to the handle or hold the base to prevent it from toppling. It will hold your phone in any position just fine, but it is lightweight, not a professional filming tripod.
If you take into account my nit-picking negatives and the tripod would still be useful to you, it is a no-brainer. For the price, it is a very good-quality and functional amateur tripod that I will get plenty of use out of for my vlog.
