In this book, we look at the Christmas wedding thru the eyes of Jo, the oldest of Maddie’s girls. As the oldest, she was with Maddie for the shortest time of all the girls. She is a no nonsense girl. She does not like to feel dependent on anyone. She is an introvert. When she runs into an old friend, Luke, she learns to come out of her shell and sparks ignite. She learns to open herself up to new possibilities and traditions.
I really enjoyed the character of Jo. I guess I related to her on some level. She was real and genuine. Goodhearted, yet cautious. Small town values. Sense of community.
This one is definitely a good read. Clear an afternoon to read because you are not going to want to put this book down.

I purchased the first 6 books in the series. The stories are very nice. BUT I like to read the stories in time order. When I got to book #3, the cover says Book #3 and two or so pages in it is Book #7 which is not even due to be released until November. There doesn't seem to be any way to let someone know about the mistake and get it corrected. I would really like to enjoy the Story in Book #3. I did read the Book #7 which is in Book #3 cover but it really messes with the story and kind of messes with the whole story line. Wish there was a way to fix this.

Christmas Wishes is the third book in the multiauthor series, Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge. It is the story of Jo, the oldest of the Soul Sisters. I love the premise of this 6 book series. Each book tells the story of one of the adopted soul sisters and their adoptive mom, Maddie. Each book is written by a different author, but they mesh beautifully! What I appreciate the most is that each author goes back to the beginning when the girls first met Maddie, and it catches the readers up beautifully. I honestly can hardly wait until next Thursday when the 4th book in the series goes live. Tammy Grace, the author of Christmas Wishes, wrote a beautiful, engaging novella. I highly recommend the series and especially Christmas Wishes!

Book 3 in the Cedar Mountain Lodge series

Book Three in the series is Jo's story. Jo is a lawyer in Chicago who rarely gets home to spend time with the family that she loves. Jo is a workaholic whose life consists mainly of her job and time spent with foster children. She takes time to go home to her sister's wedding and while she is out walking in the snow, she meets a golden retriever and his owner, Luke, who she knew when she was growing up. He's just left the Army and plans to stay in Cedar Ridge near his family. Jo knows that despite their growing feelings, she has a job in Chicago and long distance relationships are doomed to failure, so she tries not to get too close to him. She isn't sure if the sparks between them are due to the Christmas spirit or if it could be something more. Jo has to make a choice between the financial security of her job and the pull of her heart.

This book was the perfect addition to the Cedar Mountain series. Even though each book is written by a different author, they mesh together perfectly to give the readers happily ever after stories filled with love and family and Christmas.

‘Tis the season for a little Christmas joy! I love the “Soul Sister’s” stories as they are quick reads, light-hearted, and have a dash of holiday romance. Tammy L. Grace wrote Jo’s, (the eldest of the Soul Sisters), story of her accomplishments as well as her perseverance in the world of adoption, paying it forward and then some. I found Christmas Wishes to be a fun read, especially with the references to music, movies, and verbiage from decades passed. Being the oldest of the sisters, Jo never allows herself to relax. Thank goodness for a little holiday spirit and a handsome fella, Luke, and his dog, Finn, (can’t be a Tammy L. Grace book without a dog), to convince Jo to let go a bit and live in the moment. I highly recommend Christmas Wishes, Book 3 of the Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge, written by Tammy L. Grace. Happy Holidays!

I am loving this Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge series by various authors. Maddie, who lost her husband and daughter to a car crash, decides to take in four foster children for Christmas, with the thought of adopting them. In this book we learn more about adult Jo, the oldest of the adopted girls. It was fun to read about her and her goals, as well as the time she spends helping children in foster care who will soon be on their own. As her goals change, she is excited to begin a new life. These books are so good I have a hard time waiting for the next one, even if it’s not that far away. They are engaging, and while each book is written by a different author, each author writes an interesting and inviting story about one woman. If you love Christmas stories and happily ever after, don’t miss this series.

This book continues the Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge series. Each book is written by a different author, but they coordinated the stories in each book in such a way that they all are happening at the same time, but each book focuses on a different sister as the main character of that story.

The concept is fantastic! I have read the previous two books in the series, prior to this one and I loved each book so much. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and finding more detail about what is going on when all of the sisters and their adopted mother Maddie stay at the Cedar Mountain Lodge.

Each book can be read independently, but to fully enjoy the series, I believe all books should be read.

I am still in love with this Christmas series. In this one the story focuses on Jo as she returns home for her sister’s wedding. Only lots of decisions are to be made and many changes are coming for Jo. While I enjoy all the characters in this series, Jo may be my favorite. A heartwarming series of short stories in time for the Christmas season.
