Not the best, not the worst...

Grandiose social concepts Asimov did well....personal relationships not so much. World-building galore, yet character backgound sparse. While I certainly enjoyed the Foundation series (especially the "prequels"), "The Stars, Like Dust" was akin to an under-inflated tire--only flat on the bottom. Peaks and valleys abound, but I attribute this primarily to his youth while penning it. All said, an average offering by the Master.
