Coffee and food...what more can you ask for

I absolutely loved Darby, she took no crap from anyone! Family drama, she’ll deal; hot agent, ok it works; bestie who needs to get with the program, a bit harder; crazy ghost of a grandfather with secrets, seriously uncool but big girl pants come one to deal with that; and one crazy villain looking to bring the apocalypse....ok she’ll need some more coffee and food for that one.

Really though, I loved this book. All the characters brought their A game and came together fabulously.

If you are looking for a good book that’s wicked entertaining and funny get this one!

Cliffhanger ending?????

If I’d said it once I’ll say it again in a different way, ending a book on a cliffhanger is a bad cliche in which to garner a following. The trope of great human to the top of the food chain super heroine is the basis of this book. Darby is a great cop who came into her powers as a teen and only knows one skill. Bad guy gang shows up and all the fly she becomes super ghost talker. The story is riveting and well written. Darby is so real it’s refreshing. She is more than the average chick of lit. Although her straightforward responses and thoughts can be hilarious to me is because I’ve said something very similar. She has ‘girly’ moments that hit home for me.
It is an amazing story but if the novellas weren’t free to me under Kindle, I wouldn’t buy the next book just because of the cliffhanger.

Anderson introduces us to an incredible new world in Dead to Me. Darby Adler is a detective with the Haunted Peak Police Department. The thing with Darby is that she can see and communicate with the dead, a gift (and a curse) she uses often in her job. Along side her partner and life long bestie, J Cooper, these two have a new case that is clearly a lot more than it seems. On top of the disturbing murder, there’s a Fed snooping around Darby, a Fed who might know more than he lets on.
This story grabbed my attention right from the start with Darby’s humor and wit. I was immediately invested and the more I read, the more drawn in I became. Darby’s supernatural abilities and the circumstances surrounding the murder were so intriguing. The deeper we go, the more we uncover. Add in the fascinating Bishop LaRue and I was a goner. Anderson creates an exciting read with a great mix of humor and mystery. Her characters are complex and bold and I know that we’ve only just scratched the surface. I can’t wait dive even deeper into who they are. Dead to Me was a fantastic first installment in this new series! I can’t wait to see where Anderson goes with it!

What an excellent story line.

Darby is a Grave Talker. But she is untrained and clueless. Not knowing much about what she really can do, only hurts her in the long run.

This book is full of interesting characters. It has danger and snarky emotions. A fun and exciting story. With twisted plots, Darby learns a thing or two and dark secrets reveal themselves. Can’t wait to read the next story.

Ok, so I loved the book. The characters grabbed me instantly, and I actually felt like Darby and I would be great friends in real life. The story was never lacking, and there is quite a bit of humor in what could have been a dark book. I absolutely want to know what comes next, and I am off to find the next book in the series. This book most definitely ends with a cliffhanger, but I will just pick up where it left off in the next book of this series. So it’s no hig deal to me. The Romance & Steaminess meter is non-existent so far. I don’t know if that will change, but it wasn’t necessary to make the story great. This book stood on its own two feet without any romantic entanglements. I am hoping that changes in future books, but it won’t make me not move forward with the series. That being said…most definitely invest in this series. It’s worth it, and you will be glad you started reading it.

The book itself is very well written, with very filled out complex characters and a unique storyline. I would’ve loved it if I’d just read it. But, let me tell ya, if at all possible, Get The Audiobook!! She is Fan-freakin-tastic, she really embodies the characters exactly as you’d expect their personalities to be.

I love this you need to take on the paranormal world. This book was pretty fast paced with a lots going on. Get me interested the whole book. Looking forward to the possible romance between Bishop and Darby. I have no idea how they'll GRT out of the jam they are currently in.
Can't wait to see what the crew get up to in book to. Ends in a cliffhanger.
