I really wanted to say I loved this book, but.....

I loved this book. LOVED IT. And then I came to the part where Jackson was having a Neuro assessment to check that he was ready to leave the hospital after his accident. As a Neuro nurse in the USA I know that the most common questions asked are name, date, and president. No nurse in Australia, where this story took place, would ask a young boy to name the President of different country, in this case the USA. It was very clear that the ONLY reason the author chose to have the nurse ask that question was to make an unfunny political joke. It was just so immature and unnecessary. I won't be reading any more books by Fiona Higgins.
