How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Zeke Isaacson
5.0 out of 5 starsWonderful story!
Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2019
I truly enjoyed this book, and, although it was fairly long, it was all enjoyable!
I was starting to get a little annoyed when the protagonist became rather arrogant, but, being a Dragon, or at least becoming aware that you may be a dragon, can give you a bit of a reason to be arrogant, but I am thankful that she let her humanity rule her once again, and that allowed her to blossom into being that which she was destined to become; The Steel Dragon!
I must also point out that the editing in this book was very good, typos were almost non-existent. It did feel as though it was a trilogy, or at least a serialization, but I am happy it was all together between these digital sheets. ( I do wonder how many pages there are in it, and cannot locate any reference to it)

3.0 out of 5 starsGood beginning, poor middle, good end
Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2019
So, this book was a decent read. The character is likable in the beginning and the end, it was fun to see her grow into herself, but in the middle she got arrogant, annoying, and I wanted to stop reading.i know, that was the authors point, but it was so bad, written so heavy handed, that I set it down for a day to get rid of the terrible, in your face, way the character was portrayed. Subtlety is not the writer’s strongest skill. Really, the way she acted she should have been suspended, reprimanded, and more. After a heart to heart with her father it became interesting again. If you can get through the middle it’s a decent book.

1.0 out of 5 stars I am sorry...

I know bad reviews hurt but this is bad. The main character undergoes a complete personality change 20 percent into the book becoming. Suddenly immature, selfish and completely trusting of one stranger while demonstrating absolute distrust of all others. A promising start quickly nose dived into absurdity mangling the character to support a plotline that makes no sense

A decent concept but the against and self doubt gets old after the hundredth time. The police tactics in the story have to be from another universe as the tactics bare no resemblance to modern policing.

1.0 out of 5 stars story line felt generic
Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2020

The story had a lot of typical police procedural with the old tried and true subplots. The dragon story line felt generic. The main character's actions were fairly predictable from page one. Add in a S.W.A.T. team and you have the entire book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Spoilers ahead
Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2019
The book started out with potential, but towards the middle the MC just killed it for me. There is no way for the authors to redeem her, she's, obnoxious, cocky, and arrogant. As a cop/swat member she didn't follow orders showed no discipline towards higher ups, she should have been fired, reprimanded for her recklessness several times over. I thought after her heart to heart from her dad and her team leader she would have learned, but still she continues to be a petulant child. Furthermore, instead of bringing concerns to her lead regarding her suspicions about her newest team member being a mole, she decides to opens up to an outsider whom she knows nothing about regarding important information that concerns the welfare of her teammates. I just can't find any redeeming likable quality about her. At this point, I find myself rooting more for the quirky villain.

1.0 out of 5 stars Interesting idea, but poorly implemented
Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2019
The main character is a complete cliche (red hair, tall, super talented, yadda yadda). Some of the secondary characters are interesting, albeit only in minor ways. The world setup is pretty good and I wouldn't mind seeing something more professionally done with that.

My #1 gripe is the authors treat the reader like a 6 year old. You don't need to say "dragon speed" or "dragon strength" or "dragon abilities" multiple times in each paragraph. We KNOW she's a dragon. We aren't "10 second Tom" from 50 First Dates.

I wish I could say more positive stuff about this. I love reading and the longer the book the better, but this was just awful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not good

I expected so much more. Not a bumbling dragon stumbling around putting herself and all her teammates at risk during every encounter with the bad guys. And the arrogance. I can save them all, I should have done this, I can go in first because I'm bulletproof... Even though she can't transform into a dragon yet!

A lot of swearing. It just was not to my tastes. Maybe it would work for someone else. I just couldn't get into it.
