Victoria Blevins is a by the book FBI Agent. Getting involved with the shades of gray Billionaire Milo Davenport isn’t something she should do but gawd he is so smart, funny, charming and smoking hot. What’s a girl to do? When Tory is betrayed by someone she should be able to trust she reaches out to those she knows won’t betray her even if they operate in the gray. Watching Tory rationalize the rules versus reality is almost painful. It is sad to see her disillusioned. Watching Milo, Counterstrike and the folks at The Arsenal convince her the fight is worth fighting is uplifting. Tory and Milo will make your heart sing. This is a terrific read from the smoking hot cover to the very last page.

Disappointed
Love the series but was kind of disappointed in this book. Not sure if there is difference in book versus kindle but I felt storyline chopped up. Wasslow in some places and then all of a sudden it was rushed felt like I missed something, I had to go back and re read chapters . I will keep up with series hope this was just a fluke

I loved the newest book in this series. I loved BOTH characters who were strong separately, but together make a formidable team.

I like how Cara was able to make me feel all of Tory's emotions. Never knowing who had her back at the FBI, pondering the disappointment to her FBI family history. I felt her angst!

Milo was absolutely fine with having a strong partner. After witnessing his fathers abuse of his mother, it definitely made him the man he is. I loved the scene towards the end with their elderly client. Cara was able to show this incredibly strong man show a softer side without seeming soft or patronizing.

Read this series, as well as The Arsenal. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!

FBI Agent Victoria "Tory" Blevins and Counterstrike billionaire Milo Davenport have an intense attractions that ends in a one night stand after they wrap up Angie's case and help get her Dojo up and running. Neither want to let go. They both know a relationship is not in the cards. While their jobs have the same goal, his operates in the gray and sometimes the black and she upholds the law.
Milo can't let go.
When Tory is sent to Colombia on a long term assignment. She stays in contact with Milo through text. Tory's is getting little support from her boss in DC and when her investigation goes side ways, she sends everything she is working on to Milo, Ethan and the Arsenal. Mary sends help using Walker “Trigger” Nelson and his Delta Force team,(Susan Stokers, Shielding Gillian). Milo is not far behind. He doesn't know how to make a relationship. Trigger offers him some sage advice.
The Arsenal and Counterstrike have Tory's back. They are called in to once again investigate the FBI.
Tory and Milo grow closer. She makes some educated guesses about some of what both organizations are doing. She is at a cross roads in her career.
Milo comes to a decision and he makes it loud and clear to his sister and brother when he makes a very special dinner for Tory.
Fast paced and steamy. Loved Milo and Tory's story. Great ending to set the stage for their future. Can't wait for the next book.

This is an amazing series! In the previous book, Angie was a kick-@$$ heroine, and Twitch was no slacker either. In this story, we have Victoria and Milo and I can't get enough of these two. Their connection was everything! So sexy and so sweet--Milo and Victoria were amazing together! Milo and his brother Ethan, and their whole crew of "Make the World a Better Place" warriors are the kind of people who will have your back, and you wouldn't want it any other way. It tugged at my heart strings when the domestic abuse survivor they rescued called the men "angels without wings." And I loved how even as an FBI agent, Victoria understood that situations weren't always just black and white, but that there were shades of gray when it came to helping and protecting the hurt and innocent. Besides being his soulmate, she and Milo will definitely make an amazing team in the future--taking down bad guys who don't deserve to see the light of day ever again.

This author writes some of the most intriguing and sexy romantic suspenses, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

I loved this book. It had action, mystery, and romance. It moved at a fast pace and I couldn’t put it down. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the books in this series as well as the Arsenal series and I love seeing the characters show up in each other’s books. This one also had the bonus of including the characters from Susan Stoker’s Delta Team 2 series. I would definitely recommend this book.

I really loved this book, actually, this counterstrike series has all the action and love as the arsonal books. Tory seemed a cross between Kamren and Addy and I loved those girls. Carnes write strong women that act mature. No giggling, lip licking twits. I'm still waiting for Marshals story and Nolons. Their the oldest. Cara Canes is an instant click for me.
