Will not work with Verizon Fios One
Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2020
This is a nice little unit. However if you want to use it with Verizon Fios One and have 4K and 1080p tv/monitors -on/hooked up at the same time, the Verizon Fios One box will default to the lowest resolution of what is hooked up. If you only have 4K hooked up, Verizon will broadcast in 4K, and the matrix switch will deliver a 4K picture to all 4K tv/monitors. I spoke with Verizon Technical support and they will not allow you to over ride the Fios One box and have it set to constant 4K output. The downscaler function on this unit is useless with Verizon Fios One. You can not have mixed tv definitions delivered.
If the manufacturer of the matrix device would dedicate one hdmi input to 4K and one output to 4K and have that input relay back to the source everything is in 4K, the Fios One Box would stay in 4K mode. Then the device would have to stop all two way communication on the other 3 hdmi outputs to mixed resolution monitors. The downscaler would then be applicable.
Verizon Fios One is very limited as to what third party devices can be used with TV or internet. We can no longer use our more powerful wifi router because it would disable features of the new Verizon system.
