To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
As we've all been teens once, I think this is a book too many of us understand if not personally then by knowing at least one person who has been through a similar experience. Like with Drum, the characters are designed to be perfect, but flawed still in some way. And the difficulties in learning how to be yourself during very challenging times. Despite not being knowledgeable about music the way the author (and thus the characters) is, I was still able to feel the emotions being conveyed, which I call very well done.
This incredible tale is an emotional rollercoaster that took me back to my teen years. This story starts 6 years after Drum. James Etta Drummond is a freshman at the high school where one of her brothers is a teacher and another is a student a year ahead of her. Nothing about this year goes as she planned. Its going to take more than a play list to get her through it. I think every high school should carry this book. This is part of a series but can be read standalone.
