Where do I put my phone?

These pants are great. I haven't put them through their paces yet. But they seem pretty solid. The clever, low-profile way of pulling in the slack at the bottom is nice. They have an overall slim fit, but not tight. I can see a lot of potential for these...

EXCEPT — where am I supposed to put my phone?

I don't have a big phone (iPhone SE). But if I put it in one of the slash pockets, it's just one high step away from falling out. The pockets just aren't deep enough. And if you have a bigger phone (as most do), I'm sure it'll fall out every time you sit down. A simple solution would have been to add a zipper. In fact, I'm thinking about doing that myself. If they would have only done this, they would have made a truly great pair of pants.

A mock-solution is to use that little zipper pocket further down the right leg. My phone fits (though bigger ones may not). But it's *directly* on top of my kneecap. Another easy solution for the manufacturer would have been to reverse that little side pocket (making it store off to the side of my leg instead of in front of it), and that would have probably been just fine.

These are a great pair of pants. But ultimately it's going to be the little (big) details like this that keep us paying $80 for Eddie Bauer, etc.

Just okay... there are better options... (at least for me).

I bought some Peak Velocity (an Amazon brand) jogging pants from Amazon previously, and REALLY like those. So, I grabbed these off Vine when I saw them.

Unfortunately, they don't work for me that well. I'm about 6' 225 and ordered a large. Yet, they are kind of snug (or too short) in the crotch/butt area, and fall off my waist, accordingly. The strings on the waistband are also too large/long. Not sure why the ankle pulls are all that useful. A little too long in the legs.

The fabric does seem quite nice, though it is kind of "loud" when your legs swish together.

Overall, these seem like a pretty well-made item but the fit just isn't right for me, unfortunately. YMMV.

I needed a cheap, light pair of hiking pants that would hold up well and look decent. The Amazon basic joggers do the trick. The material is not as “swishy” as 90’s jogger suits and the XL fits me well. I’m 6’1” 235 35-36” waist with an athletic build. A lot of joggers on the market were far to tight in the legs. While a tad more stretch would be welcome, the ankle cuffs with adjustable drawstrings are great. You can’t overload the pockets, the main downside to these pants is that they are meant for light duty- the drawstring comes loose relatively easily if you’re active and too much weight will slowly shift the waist down. At roughly $35 for lounging or day hikes I would buy another pair in a heart beat.
