To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
What I liked about this book was that all of the contributing authors told their personal stories. This made for an interesting mix of diverse methods to find the road to Happiness... never an easy road to traverse... but this made it seem like a fun adventure with lots of different options.
I love this collection of truisms, ideas, plans regarding the subject of Happiness. As several of the authors pointed out: Happiness in a choice. It involves a mindset that is able to make the choice. Calling on mindfulness, self-awareness, meditation and gratitude, the authors provide detailed guides with which the student of happiness may safely journey. Their personal stories enhance the book with entertainment.
This is one of those books you have to keep on your bedside table and read a chapter every day and it'll brain wash you to happiness! Three main takeaways: be intent, be goal focused and it all lays with you. The chapter that grabbed me the most is 'Find Your Domino' and Gary Sinclair's story on the man in the cafe and the hope he gave him. If we all made a stranger happy every day, it'd be a better world. Everyone should read this book.
Happiness is a state of mind. Can outside forces affect it? Of course! But can we generate it consciously from self? A resounding yes! This book is an excellent resource with which to do just that. Especially in our world today, this is a very useful tool. I highly recommend!!!
