I've used Asurion for many different product replacement plans both through Amazon and brick-and-mortar establishments. Every time it has been effortless. Read the terms, register your product, retain the information they require for service and you won't have an issue. I very much appreciate Asurion.

Total fraud in my opinion. they actually said over and over, after I read them their own website, " Yea, but on our end it's considered physical damage.".

My shredder blade casing that is placed around the blades literally cracked in half, the blades chopped some of it up, and it was a workmanship malfunction. Asurion told me it was physical damage. They refused to look at the pictures or take the product in to examine it. They based it on me speculating that maybe a screw came loose inside the mechanism, when I was postulating how the plastic casing could have cracked in half on one side of the casing and prevented the shredder from being operable any further. Anyway... NEVER again will I buy from this fraud company. I will actually file a claim in small claims and sue--bring in their own wording and the top that shreds. They can get a judgment against them and fire the morons below the chain of decision for not processing it correctly. I consider this fraud. The best they could do was return what I paid for the protection plan? I declined, because if I do, there is no agreement valid anymore to get the cost of my shredder in small claims. I'm taking on the system here--I do NOT appreciate FRAUD. Asurion can go to Hades! I'm so sick of these gaslighting companies who say that what is right on their website and their own protection policy doesn't actually apply to YOUR claim. Great. Hope you enjoy that judgement against you for $ 36.00--and the knock to your credit. I've got all the time in the world. It's covid losers. All the time in the world.

I used this plan on a tablet. The screen got broke after 4 months and I tried to use the plan but they told me that the plan will not cover that specific tablet. So why was I able to link it to that purchase. So Asurion is selling a plan with items that it doesn't cover. Just knowing that whoever buys electronics is going to want a protection plan. So this one is a scam.

Would not recommend even to my worst enemy. I purchased this thinking that if I had problems with my electric skateboard it would cover the problems. Apparently I was wrong, when I went to make a claim they said that due to the skateboard having a manufacturer warranty (This warranty was 5 years and only covered the bare minimum) they could not honor my protection plan. After taking the contract to my lawyer that they provided to me, she said that this for of service is clearly listed as part of this agreement and dening the claim due to multiple coverages was not part of the prior agreement. So then going back to Asurion with this information they still said that they couldn’t do anything at all. Luckily Amazon is an amazing company when it comes to customer service, they were able to refund this rather crappy service and help me get my board fixed. So long story short, this service plan will not do anything, if you call they will make every excuse possible to say that it is not covered. If you like spending money on a fake insurance plan go ahead but even the people I dislike the most I wouldn’t tell to buy this plan. To make matters worse I had written this review previously and they fought me about it until they got Amazon to take it down so people would not see that they do not hold up to their side of this protection plan. Further more this insurance will more than likely land you going down a rabbit hole of bad customer service and no money back. I have tried everything including submitting a claim to the better business bureau bbb and finally after what I clocked after thinking it was taking an excessive amount of time calling different people they refunded some of the cost. Long story short I beg you to not buy this product for any reason, you will have better luck with digging a hole putting the money you were going to spend on this plan and burry it, at least that way when you have a problem you have that money in a hole and not with this vacuum of an issuance plan, it sucks.

There appears to be no way to tie the protection plan to a purchased item. Asurion says the unit covered and the unit price are indicated on the order confirmation. That order confirmation lists multiple gift items that were purchased together. Which one is covered? Apparently, taking the step to identify the item covered isn't important to Asurion.

We always buy this with my sons electronic purchases. We’ve had lots of problems with the Steelseries mice clickers not working after a few months.
When we try to submit a claim we are told we need to contact the manufacturer. The first time we did and got the complete run around from steel series. Same thing happened again and once more we need to contact SteelSeries in order to file a claim. This is bogus coverage. They should help facilitate with the manufacturer at the very least.
I will start purchasing from Best Buy for all electronic needs for my son. They have great replacement coverage. Saving $20 bucks is not worth my time.

I bought one of these plans to cover a keyboard. The keyboard failed and was out of manufacturer warranty, so I filed a claim with Asurion (who, I guess, is Amazon by another name because they're also based in Seattle).

I filed the claim through their website interface. At the end of it all, the website crashed. Ooops.

I then filed the claim through chat. The outcome being :

(a) I have to return the faulty keyboard to them
(b) Upon receipt, they'll then reimburse me for the keyboard original cost
(c) They don't reimburse for the sales tax on the purchase
(d) A new keyboard will cost me $49.50. They'll eventually reimburse me $40.

So, getting $40 on a $50 claim is far from what I expected or they seemed to promise. I said to them "Okay then, fix my keyboard and return it to me".

They said "We can't fix it".

I said "So why do I have to send it back to you at cost and inconvenience to us both, but at the same time, you're not fully reimbursing me for the cost of a replacement?"

They said "Just because." (Well, okay, that's a paraphrase. :) )

the tech support is very patient and knowledgable. Tech support helped me with at least two of my warrantied purchases. Asurion had me send my asus rog computer to the manufactuer to be fixed, cause it was still under warranty. the manufacturer returned it and said the damage was caused by user, even though the computer never worked correctly from day one. The manufacturer quoted me $100 less than the purchase price to repair computer.
I then sent computer to asurion and Asurion reloaded the boot software, and the computer worked for a few weeks. After manufacturer returned computer, the entire turnaround time from calling asurion to begin a claim, to computer return was about two weeks, including the time waiting for the packaging material asurion sent me to protect my computer during shipment.
When the computer failed again, i started a new claim and shipped it back to asurion. They sent me a check for 100% refund of purchase price.
I now own a hp omen, and will never purchase an asus again.
After this experience of excellent tech support, and service, i now trust asurion.
My little asus vivobook that i bought at the same time as the asus rog, was giving me problems with the 8 key, and on a saturday, technical support helped me with that also. The vivobook had been shipped with windows s, and the tech upgraded me to windows 10, which is the windows my computer was supposed to have come with. In addition he reloaded drivers and checked the bios. For some reason, the 8 still did not work, both on my computer keyboard, and on tech supports remote keyboard, although i could pull up the onscreen keyboard and the 8 would work. Tech support recommended contacting the manufacturer, since my computer is still under warranty. The manufacturer was closed on saturday, but when i went to call them on monday, my 8 key was working again.
