Helpful guide, especially for post-Covid times

As someone who will be re-entering the workforce after being a stay at home mom for a long time, my interview skills are rusty. This book has given me confidence and comfort. The book covers resumes and cover letters, like good words to use, how to talk about yourself without bragging or sounding conceited. Next, the book covers a ton of interview pointers. The author gives sample questions and sample good and bad answers. I think that was so helpful. Then, the book recommends folowing up and how to do that. Overall, this book will be so helpful for anyone who will be re-entering the job market in the future.

This helped me a lot with how to answer interview questions and to prepare for a job interview. It gives a lot of pointers in how to create a cover letter, answer the most common interview questions, how to prepare for different types of job interviews like in a group setting, informational, behavioral, and screening and phone interviews. It's a very good book which explains what the employer really means asking different personal/behavioral questions. I think this book alone is helpful to prepare for personal/behavioral interview questions. This book is for individuals applying for blue or white collar jobs but more for white collar, in my opinion. For people who have been out of work for a significant amount of time or for the person who has worked several years for the same company, this book is a must.

This book not only covers the interview but also finding the right niche, having the right mindset, and cover letter. The cover letter has a lot of requirements, but also needs to keep it fairly short. Key words may be important as well, just as if you are writing internet copy and want good SEO. Simple answers that can be given to common questions. Some of the wording didn’t feel natural for my style of speech, but I could easily adapt it.
