Elise Templeton lives in Philadelphia where she has been educated to be a rich man’s wife, to run a big household and throw fancy parties. Unfortunately, her brother gambled away all her family’s wealth and needs to “sell” Elise off to the man he owes, Mr. Yates who is despicable. Elise runs away and with help from a local mail-order bride business owner, Mrs. Whittaker finds a way out: to marry a man in Butte, Montana far away from her brother and Mr. Yates. Though things don’t go as expected in Butte, Elise takes off and “meets” Shane and Roscoe who live in Bridgewater. Her world is about to change dramatically. Will Elise get away from Mr. Yates? Wow, what happens at the end will have you on pins and needles…
The Bridgewater Brides series are short, MFM or MMFM (no M/M) stories with a touch of spanking and discipline. This one is not as saucy as Ms. Dawson’s usual stories, but steamy enough. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout. If you like short and steamy stories, give this one a try.
