Best MM Daddy story I've read all year

Gave and Jack had me hooked from the first page. Everything they went through on the battlefield carries over while they recover from their wounds and the sexual tension couldn't be hotter. Each page revealed just how much these two would sacrifice for each other. I loved this story and recommend it to anyone who enjoys MM military romance.

problematic couple

Gavin and Jack are both SEALs. Gavin is enlisted, Jack is an officer and Gavin's direct superior. There are a lot of obstacles to their relationship and frankly, few readily apparent reasons for it. Gavin puts up with a string of failed dates, selfish sexual behavior, and emotional withdrawals because he wants Jack. Meanwhile, he pressures Jack to risk his career by openly dating him, rather than keeping their relationship a secret for the year it will take before he gets out. It's hard to sympathize with or even like either of them, and at least half of their conversations, with each other and with literally any other humans they meet, are about the fact that they're SEALs-- I understand wanting to establish a setting and shared culture, but it reads as excessive after the sixth or seventh time. I like the premise of this story, and the writing is solid: it's the characters and the overall development I'm not totally sold on.

Hand to Hand is an extremely hot novella about two Navy Seals and the ups and downs in their complicated relationship. It was very realistic while keeping the daddy elements that I love. I'm really looking forward to book two and Hudson's story.

Gavin, team medic in defense mode in Afghanistan. He had 368 days left before discharge. Gavin, planned on going to nursing school and living in his condo by the beach. The team dynamic was fantastic and they were waiting for the extraction when, . . . the world went sideways and things went FUBAR! Jack, the CO was wounded and Gavin was able to save him. Gavin had a major crush on Jack, but stayed quiet. Relationships, fraternization between officers and enlisted is forbidden in all services. Jack has the most to lose. While in the hospital, Jack lightly returns a flirty moment and revs Gavin's engine. Jack is on medical leave and his team take turns checking in on him. Gavin was waiting his turn to test the waters. Will Gavin make a move? Will Jack be receptive? How will team feel? This is an on the seat story hoping for the best for our characters. Nicely done. Absolutely love it!...wished it was longer

OMG...I really enjoyed this book. I have read this author's other books(paranormal) before and loved them and this one didn't disappoint. I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end. I love these guys. They kept me either laughing or smiling. These wonderful guys are SEALS who are brave, dedicated, passionate and fun. I absolutely loved Gavin. He's a SEAL with sass. He is willing to risk it all to have a relationship with his HOT older boss Jack. Jack has been burned before and is somewhat hesitant but is willing to try with Gavin. Their chemistry is intense and HOT with the Daddy/boy kink thrown in. They go thru a series of ups and downs (two alpha type guys trying to work it out) and I was constantly cheering them on. The guys do work it out at the end but I wished we had an epilogue. I would have loved to see where they were after Gavin left the service, If we get a book two in series hopefully they will make cameos.

Gavin has been crushing on Jack, his commanding officer, for a while but with only a year left til he gets out he wants to wait. Unbeknownst to him, Jack has felt the same way. When Jack gets hurt on a mission Gavin decides to go for it, but they have a lot of obstacles in their way. This was a really cute story and I can’t wait for the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Gavin has the hots for his LT. Jack is older, strong, sexy and good at this job. They are both Navy Seals and on the same team so being attractive to one another can be complicated. When both are injured in a mission gone wrong Gavin starts to realize that the feelings he has are returned. This was a good short steamy story between two men that you want to see find their way together.

This short story fell right in the middle of like/dislike. There's a bit of disconnect in the story where I felt it jumped a little too fast. It's a friends to lovers kind of story so they do know each other, but as lovers it was a whole new ball game. I was surprised when halfway through it was revealed the Jack was gay, because at he beginning I thought he was straight or, at least, Gavin thought he was. A couple of errors and wonky wording pulled me from the story. Unfortunately, not a lot of SEAL action, as this takes place post-combat injury. Plenty of sexy action though.

I love Daddy kink and really enjoyed this take on the genre. I love that Gavin chooses to submit to Jack in just the bedroom and takes the necessary steps to strengthen their bound when Jack goes astray. So many times we get a perfect Daddy and Jack isn’t. He stumbles and his boy is there to help. I do wish it were longer, but happy to know that we’ll see them more in Hudson and Sully’s book!
