Willow Beach stories are some of my very favorite stories. Love small town, family oriented type of stories and this one is a series where you will want to read all of them and keep them forever. Georgia's family finally has some happiness for each of it's members until it all blows up near Christmas but with the Christmas magic in the air can everything be resolved, mended and have so much love you can't contain yourself reading it? Then throw in a vandalism and find out what happens there too?
This book was about the Baldwin Family and the Inn Georgia ran. She has two daughters and INE Son. It's about a developer doing shady dealing to obtain properties. Also the family's lives. It was a good book to read I enjoyed it and I hope whoever read it likes it to.
I also appreciate that your books end on a positive note, but. I wish something could be done to return the properties that were stolen from mostly elderly People and compensation given so they could resume the lives they loved.
I just recently started reading these stories and have been so impressed with the quality of the writing and, best of all, the way the author brought the characters to life. Seriously, the people feel like real friends that you know and can count on. The reader is instantly invested in their lives and shares their troubles. And in this particular book, there seem to be many such troubles brewing and vandalism to heighten the suspense.
Willow Beach is a close community of caring and friendship. Neighbors know each other personally and have each other’s backs. What happens to one person, touches each of the town’s citizens, for good or for bad. The most far-reaching of the issues coming up is Georgia’s decision about whether she can continue to keep the inn going. And just when it looks like Georgia's family have all found their happiness, things begin to unravel right at the Christmas season. Can any or all of these bad things be made right? Or will some of them find no escape from the heartbreak?
I love how the author paints a word picture in the reader’s mind that brings a scene to life. Sight, sound, color all blend together to keep the reader surrounded by the story. The writing is amazing and the emotions are real, as you will quickly find. Grab your copy and open your heart to the community of Willow Beach where a well-timed hug can make all the difference.
In book #4 of the Willow Beach series the author does a review & update of each of Georgia's grown children, Melanie, Tasha & Drew. There is also a reference to all of the neighbors who have become special friends to her & together they make up the lovely beach town of Willow Beach. So gather a cup of warm cocoa, put on your fuzzy slippers & curl up with your favorite cuddly blanket & settle in by a warm crackling fire to read & enjoy "Just South of Christmas", a well written special holiday novel with all of Willow Beach for a magical family Christmas.
All of the joys of a magical Christmas begin with a special 2 week event of the annual Willow Beach Winter Fest. There is a daily Christmas Market, a bake-off as well as a Christmas themed bake sale. You are invited to join the community as they seal the first evening of the Winter Fest with a Walkabout foot parade where the residents gather to stroll down Main Street & view the Willow Beach decorated neighborhoods & enjoy the beautiful sights & sounds of the many Christmas carolers gathered at every corner. What a splendid way to kick off the holiday season! All of the holiday festivities are a sight to behold & Georgia Baldwin, the owner of the Willow Beach Inn has planned a spectacular after party at the end of the parade to celebrate the beginning of the Willow Beach holidays. What could be more satisfying than spending the Christmas Holidays with all of your friends & family?
Everything is perfect, or so it seems..... All of Georgia's neighbors & friends have contributed to the after party at the Inn supplying many flavorful main dishes, various mouth watering festive baked pastries & all of the colorful holiday decorations. Just as they enter the Inn to begin the celebration it becomes apparent that something evil is happening in their beloved community.
Have I peaked your interest yet? Are you longing to find out more? Pick up a copy of "Just South of Christmas" & enjoy!

I have read and enjoyed the Willow Beach Inn series since the beginning, and this is a fantastic holiday-filled installment. If memory serves, the previous books were about strangers that came to Willow Beach and fell in love. Those stories were deeply entwined with Georgia (inn owner), her brood, and The Willow Beach Inn. This book focuses instead on Georgia and her three adult children during what turns out to be a tension-fraught holiday time. The book opens with preparations for the afterparty for the kickoff to Winter Fest. I lived in a seaside small town for over a decade, and the author's description of Winter Fest reminded me so much of the kinds of things my small town did during the holidays. But soon things go awry for everyone in the Baldwin family, each with their own challenges to face. I liked, too, that we also saw the other people who were the focus of previous stories. The author has a smooth and easy writing style, drawing the reader in easily, making both the characters and the setting feel so real and vibrant. I feel like I could know these people, and I want to visit Willow Beach! A great story filled with family, friends, holiday spirit, and love.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
We are headed back to Willow Beach, just in time for Christmas. All our friends are here, and it is Winterfest. This book is our holiday card from the Author as we catch up for the year.
We join the book club, making last-minute food preparations for tonight's after party; it is time to get caught up with what is happening in town. We find out all is not cozy and warm for the holidays. As this is a small town, the talk flows freely. Join us in solving the town mystery and enjoy Winterfest. Will the Christmas Magic solve all the woes?
Just South of Christmas is book four, it can stand alone, but I recommend the Series. It is a quick Holiday read.
Thank you to Booksprout and the Author for the free copy in exchange for my voluntary review.
Georgia is still the glue that holds everything together. Yes her family would still live, thrive and grow old with out her but they would be lost. Yes the small Maine town would still function if ever a time comes that Georgia has to close the doors to the Inn. I love the Baldwin family and during this whole series of novels I have never not felt a connection to a character. Or debate the authenticity of a character. Author, Grace Palmer, does not create a half done character. I have been recommending Palmer's novels as Beach Reads but now I have one to recommend as a Christmas story to read in front of a roaring fire. The week time span in the novel covers a lot of ground, but none of the story is wasted. And the Baldwin Children, though, grown still need mom's advice as their relationships hoover at the edge of pivotal points. "All the feels & A must read".
