Robert Vaughan proves he can write more than typical Westerns! This is the heart-warming story of two people -- one a widow and the other a recent divorcee -- who return to their roots in Montana and rekindle a long-ago relationship. Javanna feels guilty for her husband's death and has drifted away from the God she once believed in. Luke's wife not only left him, but she left their Christian movie studio to make adult films that tarnished the studio's image. Both people are hurting, but Luke's firm faith helps Javanna find her way back to God. And in the process, they fall in love. I hope this is the start of a series because Luke's siblings could easily have their own stories. If you like good, clean Christian romances, pick up this book -- you won't be sorry.
This book touched me in a very unexpected way. I started reading it in the airport and for some reason my heart resonated with the characters and the situations. I was impressed with his knowledge of this genre. He is definitely an extremely talented author. Thank you for writing this book.
Good insight into Montana ranching life. Loved the family relations and interactions. Lots of conversations. And some very human "jumping to erroneous conclusions" because not communicating. My only other comment is that the book ended quickly with no postscript to wrap up the loose ends. This is a very good book. I highly recommend it.
Hey guys you need to read this book as really really good I really enjoyed ITIT was a great blessing it give me strength where I need it at and It was like a said it was a blessing thank you very much and Mr. Vaughn You have a blessed Safe life Thank you Again
Very cleverly written to bring in current events of Covid and a beautiful love story. Vivid descriptions of the Montana landscape and complex family relationships. I couldn’t put this book down and was sad when it was over.
It is inspiring to read how the characters made positive life changes to over come adversity. This is a story that can be read by a young or an older person without being embarrassed by the dialogue or have nightmares from violence. Rare talent indeed!
Jovanna is a story of childhood friendships rekindled, family relationships, forgiveness, and second chances.
I loved the Christian aspects in the story of faith renewed after Jovanna and Luke both struggle to get back the faith they lost. The story written in the time of COVID, brought everything current. The characters of the Bryant family and Peterson were down to earth with normal troubles that were relatable. Jovanna's character is sweet, considerate, and loving, but carrying some guilt. Luke, is carrying some past baggage of his own that he is trying to make peace with.
I enjoyed the story very much. It is entertaining, heart-warming, and inspirational.
I received a copy from the author and willingly choose to review it.
I loved the story and the characters. Robert brings them to life with their strengths and flaws. There is more to this story that could be told in a sequel. The story plot was somewhat predictable much like a cross between Kingsbury and Hallmark. Great 'get-away fireside/hot chocolate' read.
