It started out as a good storyline but then they had to go and throw in some homosexuality. That drove me to terminate the movie. Bring back the good wholesome movies for the majority of Americans - traditional families striving for high moral values.

This movie reminded me of a Hallmark movie - it was very enjoyable to watch. I liked all the actors including the main character. The main character is what drew me to want to watch this movie. About half way through the movie I realized that the lead character in Murdoch Mysteries was the news anchor! I think the main character has been misunderstood in some of the reviews. Some people think she is mean but all she wanted to do was be with her child on Christmas Eve since his dad couldn't bother to be with him. Plus she came around in the end - after all no one is perfect.

A long-time favourite, I finally just bought it this year instead of renting again. How can you not love Howard Hessman (WKRP in Cincinnati).

Besides Hessman, the male lead (he was in Sue Thomas, F.B.Eye) was better than the female lead but I've seen her in things since and she was a tiny bit better so perhaps it was the script, which is a little bouncy. Overall though, the movie is carried by Hessman's energy and determination.

It is not something huge, just a nice happy-making little film that feels good.
