How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsIntriguing book to learn techniques from
Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2020
I learned a great deal of information from reading this book. It truly helped me understand people's thoughts and behaviors, and why they do the things they do. Reading people goes deeper than just detecting their body language or facial expressions, so I enjoyed learning the techniques on how to analyze people even more.

This book also helped me grow aware of the signals that I convey to people as well when they meet up with me. I enjoyed the part in the book where the author talked about the different kinds of eye contact - definitely an interesting thing to be aware of and learn from! Human nature is such an intriguing topic, so I really like reading these types of books where I can learn a lot from.

1.0 out of 5 starsIts like the author listened to a couple of youtube videos and wrote down everything they heard.

It is the worst book I've ever bought. The actual paper that it's printed on is akin to standard copy paper, the typewriting looks like it was made in google docs and printed at home.
as far as content goes, it was incredibly basic and simplistic. Just search " BOdy language" on youtube and watch the top 3 videos on it - you'll learn the same stuff you would pay for in this book.

I was very disappointed in the lack of depth. An experienced reader of psychology related non fiction has nothing to gain by this book. No real insight or novelty. And-Gawd- the title is a complete misnomer.

There is no bibliography, so one is unable to check references. No index, no notes about the author, and the font is probably 14 or 16 to make the book look like it contains substance, but it doesn't. Much of the material is just unscientific made-up jargon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Like having to listen to a failed (and half-cut) Poly lecturer in the pub
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 10, 2021

The content of this book is weak, simplistic and annoying. If you are used to reading books by reputed authors on related topics (e.g. Richard Thaler, Chris Voss, Michael Lewis, Danny Kahneman), then you will be frustrated by this book.

Reading this book (or, to be factually correct, reading the first 41 pages of this book) felt like wandering into a pub, and finding yourself having to listen to the ramblings of a failed Polytechnic professor, half-cut at the bar. I’m not a negotiation expert (instead, a rather reluctant practitioner), but I’m also 100% confident that if I were to follow some of the “takeaways” recommended here, I would soon be divorced and/or unemployed.

I should also have noticed it was self-published (usually a warning sign), which also makes the physical experience really “village” (see Urban Dictionary if not familiar with this description, and see image for “chapter title” example - if you can spot it).

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is not what it portrays

Please don’t buy this book, save your $, I bought this because it caught my eye and was rather intriguing, not to mention all the good reviews.
After reading this (which was a struggle) because it is pretty boring, I find this book a huge disappointment.
The book goes on and rambles about things to look for which are just common sense you will already know, the reason I write this review is because in the book after all the “tips and tricks” it teaches you they also state that none of what they are rambling about has been proven nor is there ever been any connection to Thai info being true.
Big let down

1.0 out of 5 stars Most boring book I ever read

The writing sounds just like what I did in my bachelors thesis which was also rather boring and only superficial.
No deeper looks on how to actually understand people.
Just do yourself a favor and better buy something worth reading.
