How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

5.0 out of 5 starsAn action-packed start to a promising new series!
Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2020
As a fan of Mr. Scott’s writing, I’ve read and enjoyed about 15 of his books, and have never been disappointed. The stories are always well-planned, with strong characters, lots of action and vivid descriptions which make me feel like I’m immersed in a movie.

This is an exciting start to what promises to be another great series. Cade Korbin has a checkered past, from which he chose a path to pursue and take down bad guys under contract, but he follows his own code. He’s not a Boy Scout, but rather, an outlaw with a soft spot in his heart (or in his head?), which leads to some interesting tight situations. This story has non-stop action, with several twists that leave you wondering what is true and who you can trust. How can Cade succeed despite long odds against him? The ending is a surprise I didn’t see coming. This tale is tied up nicely without a cliff-hanger, and leaves several options open for continuing stories.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I received an ARC – this review is my honest opinion. I purchased a copy on release to support this great writer. Do yourself a favor and read this book – you will enjoy it!

OK! Here we go; If you're in the market for a page turning, rip-roaring, coherent spaghetti Western set in intergalactic space, you just found it!!! Think a young Clint Eastwood riding into town on his burro looking for trouble and you're in. Pleasant to read, good plot line and strong characters. Just don't expect hard science, cause it's not there. But then, its not there for Star Trek nor Star Wars either! They both fun and so is this. Time well spent.

1.0 out of 5 stars Using book as agenda platform
Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2021
Another author offering homage to the elites vision of society by putting sexual preference in everyone's face. A family is a family, a couple is a couple, no need for constant gender identification. Is it intended as evidence the writer is enlightened or just other drone paying homage to the man??? Maybe a wannabe preaching new social morality instead of telling a story. It is so nice to know this person is approving of his his, her her, and likely, their their relationships. How did we manage to live without others inserting their approval. That would actually be good for society if it wasn't just centered on sex. In massive denial is proof people are sensitive to any difference from the norm. The more they need to declare they're not, the more we know they are. How about love thy neighbor and go about living as an underlying theme if you must include something extra in your stories.
Aside from the above, the story has merit and well written (except for technical stuff). Update... At 69% through I'm throwing in the towel. Book has all the bells and whistles of a good SiFi but fails to become interesting. Having to beat myself to keep reading. Characters are flat, story is flat, discriptions are good, dialogue is okay. Maybe the story lacks focus, just too diluted with morality undertones. Leaving the really big mystery, how did it get so many 5 star reviews.

I disliked"Synthetic Dreana reaches across the gap be-tween their two pool chairs, and grabs biological Dreana's hand in a gesture that looks more int-mate than simply comforting Bio Dreana flashes her twin a tight smile, and I confirm my suspicions in the look that passes be-tween them.(I don't understand why the author"Jasper Scott"would accept being bullied into putting LGBT scenes into his book as if to get the audience to accept it?{Maybe it won't be long before that actually becomes a thing.}The reason I gave it a 1 star is because of that tyranny the LGBT is known for!

1.0 out of 5 stars Unrealistic everything
Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2022
Unrealistic characters, unrealistic interactions, unrealistic plot twist, unrealistic and contrived plotline. This was an amateurish effort at a action packed story. Give it a pass.
