They’re ok. Not super soft but causes minimal hair damage and material quality varies even within the same order.
I bought these light blues pillow cases for $5.99. It’s shiny and light weight. I did get 1 pair (2pillowcases) and they’re suppose to be the same color, but as you can see in the picture, they are slightly different. You can’t fully tell from the picture but the pillowcase in the back is a nice baby blue where as the pillow in front has a hint of a green hue ... like maybe a light teal? Maybe it’s older and faded? The baby blue is also slightly softer to the touch, but the seams of the light teal is sewn better and smoother. The seam of the light blue looks like it’s too tight and may rip or unravel faster than the green. Both feels smooth to the touch. The tag does say “100% polyester”, but apparently “satin” is a weave and not an actual fabric material, so you can have satin made out of silk, polyester, or rayon. These pillowcases aren’t exactly wrinkle free but not as bad as they could be, and they still look nice. They aren’t as soft as I had hoped, but they don’t damage my hair as much as cotton pillowcases. I have short, layered, and kinda wavy hair. When I wake-up, I look like Anna from frozen if I’m using a cotton pillowcase, but while sleeping on these, I woke up to only slightly bent ends. (The rest is mostly likely my natural wave haha). I washed my pillowcase before use using a mesh bag and saw no damages yet. Compared to the other prices I’ve seen, $5.99 for a queen polyester satin pillowcase isn’t bad, but I am disappointed in the varying material quality.
