READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY

I bought this book alongside Cracking the PM Interview because of the plethora of gloving reviews to help me prep for some upcoming PM interviews. After I actually started reading Cracking PM Career however, I was stunned by the variance between the quality raved about in the reviews vs. the actual book. To call the book surface level would be massive understatement.
I give props to the author for creating one of the most comprehensive table of contents in the world of product management. However, it felt as if every topic from there is just a straight copy and paste from the first Google result for that concept. Given the authors' storied work experiences, I was expecting anecdotes to build on concept definition at the very least, however that was not the case at all. This book read very much like a knock off of Marty Cagan's Inspired but with less inspired storytelling. It feels like a dry textbook reading assignment you'd expect to receive if you were enrolled in Product School or something. Would definitely pass on this one. Don't trust the dozens of fake glowing unverified reviews.
