This is actually a review of all three books of Steel and Emberly's struggle and strength to finally end up together. I was totally hooked almost as soon as I started reading the first book. I laughed and cried along with my friends in the book, because that's what they became my friends. I finished all three books in less than three days as I was unable to put them down. I would definitely recommend these books to anyone who is looking for a romance with angst. The plot twists will hold you from beginning to end.

I loved the first two books but this one just went on and on. It took me days to read it and I finally just skipped a bunch to get to the end. Knowing now about this book, I probably wouldn't have read the series.

I discovered Julie Hall through her first series, Life After (my now all-time favorite series). “Unleashing Fire” is the third of the four book Fallen Legacies series. I’m not normally a fantasy reader, but Julie Hall’s books have definitely changed that!

In “Unleashing Fire” there is non-stop action with unexpected twists and turns. I love the character arcs in this book! You will not be able to stop reading! 100% completely binge-worthy! But a word of advice: just buy the whole series at once, because you will want the next book as soon as you devour this one! Make sure to check out all of Julie Hall’s books!

As always, I was excited to get my hands on an ARC of Unleashing Fire (although I preordered a copy) by Julie Hall since she is one of my favorite fantasy authors. She did such a great job writing the action and kissing scenes lol. This book is full of action, mystery and suspense in this supernatural world that she's built since the first book. However, there's also the brilliant relationship between the main characters that keeps the reader coming back. This book is written from multiple perspectives which keeps the book super interesting and also includes beautiful illustrations of the characters. In the beginning I did find the book a little confusing because of all the characters I had to remember. I wish there was a glossary for the characters (the author has a glossary at the end with the different types of angels and celestial classifications which is informative) or a family tree lol.

The story continues as Emberly must figure out why she keeps blacking out and Steel fights to keep her in his sights. The gang is all here with some new characters. Tinkle is a favorite and shows just how powerful he is. New love interests seem to be developing - I hope the author is going to expand this universe and tell some of the other characters' stories. (She certainly sets it up that way). The team battles the Fallen and Forsaken and tries to find out what the plan is and stop it before the mortal world is overrun with the spiritual realm. Lots of battles - not overly bloody and graphic but enough to give the reader an idea of what's happening. I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series and Julie Hall goes out with a bang! She's created an exciting world of supernatural creatures and characters that draw the reader in and make them want to return again and again.

Highly recommend if you enjoy clean YA fantasy with lots of action and a beautiful romance. PG-13 content.

So when things spiral out of control because of Thorne and Seraphim, her family not only comes to her rescue, they also fight right along side her despite everything, including when Emberly wasn’t quite herself. But no one was a bigger supporter and cheerleader than Steel, her true soul mate.
I really loved this trilogy and can’t wait to see what else Julie Hall brings us.

It’s finally here! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for the conclusion to this story and the first few chapters start off with a magnificent BANG and right into wartime. Like I couldn’t have asked for a more epic start to this finale, especially with how everything has progressed in the first two books.

When Thorne comes striding through the smoke in London and Nova and Ash get their first look at him, I can just imagine what an amazing movie scene that would make!

The main character Emberly is a half angel / half human that was found out on the streets as a homeless teenager by others of her kind and taken into their world so she could learn her skills and understand who she is. But she learns so much more than that and takes on an entirely different life than what she ever expected for herself. There is so much danger, treachery and it becomes hard to know who to trust.

Steel is the only one she can fully trust and that’s because these two are soul bonded and nothing will stand in their way of being together. When either one of them gets hurt in battle, the other turns ferocious – like primal – and it’s about as intense as you can imagine for 17-18 year olds with these magnificent powers of shape shifting, flying and not to mention their super human strength.

Unleashing Fire is the culmination of the series and I have to say that every book in this series is equally amazing. Some series I read lag a lot and struggle through in the middle, but not this one. It just rolls through all the punches and intensity like no other. I love it SO much!

If you haven’t been reading this series and you LOVE YA Fantasy then you have to get into it now as this is the final book in the series and it’s just amazing. I want to gush all over this series and tell you how perfect it is, but you have to read it yourself!

The characters have developed so well through these books and everything comes to a major assault here at the end with angels and demon-like Forsaken in an all out world war that brings full-blooded angels into the battle and it’s just SO AMAZING!

I'm all pouty faced and yet my heart is full! Julie Hall has written one unputdownably beautiful book. The twists and surprises are stunningly brilliant. Emberly and Steel and their friends pack a punch and just keep swinging. This series conclusion will make you laugh, cry and stand up and cheer.

Emberly undergoes some very terrifying events that will push her beyond all belief. She's a fighter and never has she made that more clear than in this spectacular book. She's up against the very worst, and some of the time she's facing these hardships alone.

Steel really pulls out all the stops and just accepts his destiny with Emberly with such a chill attitude. But it's when he's separated from his girl that we see him morph into an unstoppable force. He's tearing the worlds a part and putting the love of his life first and frankly it's quite swoon-worthy!

We do have some very sad goodbyes and some unfinished storylines. So I'm going to exist from now on in a constant state of just needing more. Send help in the form of chocolate and fuzzy hugs.

If you want pure entertainment that will wreck you in the best way possible, pick up this series. You need this in your life!

I thought Hall could not top Stealing Embers and then I read Forging Darkness. I then thought she could not top Forging Darkness but then I got my hands on Unleashing Fire.

I loved being back with Emberley and this new family she has forged with Nova, Ash, Greyson and Sterling. I'm glad we get to meet some new characters and see a love interest for Sterling. Love, love, love Tinkle again in this one.

Oh my, Steel and Emberley!!! I so loved watching this relationship continue to develop. I love Steel's protectiveness and defensive of Emberley and all she has to endure. Can I just say too, how refreshing it is to have such a sweet romance that is clean in this genre.

This was nonstop action between the Forsaken seeking vengeance and Thorne and his Fallen threatening not only London but the entire world.

Along the way, Emberley is dealing with a dark power growing inside her that is causing blackouts and things outside of her control.

There are big surprises, laughs, tears and much anxiety in this fast paced conclusion. The last 20% especially had me biting my nails in dread and anticipation.
