Whether you are a new project manager or an experienced one, this is a very good resource and reference book to successfully lead and manage a team to achieve exceptional results. The author accurately emphasizes the importance of having requisite skills to manage the tasks, challenges, and people to meet a job or client's expectations to accomplish goals. I highly recommend the book to those who may be feeling overwhelmed with responsibilities, uncertainties and deadlines. This book will help them focus and get organized. I also recommend this book to seasoned project managers and leaders who want to have new resolve in making sure they are doing their best with the teams they manage and lead.
As someone who has spent years juggling multiple responsibilities at work, I've long wondered if I would be an effective project manager. This book did an extremely good job of laying out the requirements, challenges, and benefits of managing projects of all different scopes. I found it useful, and I'm sure that anyone who finds themselves in a project manager position, or who is considering such a position in the future, will find it similarly beneficial.
As a project manager and working mostly now from home due to the situation, this book helped me see a few of my flaws. One of my favorite chapters was "Level up your PM Game." Some I lack integrity in my work, I notice that affects the rest of my team. It is something I must improve. Furthermore, I have become more organized, and the business is starting to run more smoothly. My team has fewer disagreements and other problems, which commonly occurred before.
while running my small business. Does a good job introducing what project management is. Goes down to the basics, which helps put things into perspective. The book has properly sources works. I also really like the key aways at the end of the chapter. Very helpful. I read them before I start the chapter to help me focus more. The only thing I’d change is the cover. The cover looks too messy and there are too many things going on. But, never judge a book by its cover; this is a good book.
It’s a great bite-size guide that I’ll be referring back to as I start PMing my own projects. It gives a little bit of everything that has to do with project managements. There are a few things I would have liked to read more details on, but it gives you enough details to go and find what you need to be successful in projects.
Simple, easy to understand book to inspire and motivate business-oriented employees and project managers. It’s organized in such a way to make it easy to use an office setting if a PM choses to refocus her/her employees and keep them focused on good business strategies and making money.
I got so much from this book; probably because it is a wealth of literature on the subject of effective leadership. Don't be intimidated by its size and scope, it's broken down to bite-sized chunks, and as clearly written as I've ever read!

This is well written and refreshingly practical! You’ll learn the key elements of project management and how to improve in the areas where you don’t feel as confident. Understanding how to win over the sponsors of your projects plus learning the keys on executing the plan, technical skills, and knowledge of project management as a business. Competency for project managers is measured in their ability to manage the entire project, not just accomplish certain functional tasks. This should be the first book for anybody new to Project Management!
The fact that I gave myself not enough time to read this book thoroughly is a testament to the fact that I need help juggling my life and especially my work with 50 people I manage. These are the sort of books I need to absorb and consider more... if only I had more time. Well written and a book I intend to come back to.
