I absolutely loved this book!! I’ve been waiting a long time for the sequel to Cadicle, and Ms. DuBoff knocked it clear out of the park...she stays with her tried and true generational character building, which always astonishes me in her works! This time we get to see Jason step up to the plate...her writing is so good in this genre...I imagine it’s hard to build multi-generational families, yet she does...and we get everything, not only great action but great interpersonal relationships, awesome world building; one of her biggest strengths...I can’t wait for the next installment...do yourself a favor and immerse yourself in a wonderful universe full of awe!!!
Amy DuBoff reached the next plateau and shown herself to be among the best story tellers of this generation. In this 'Saga' we see some familiar faces and some new ones coming together to face a very old adversary ... so old that the human race has lost all memory of them... but not only do they remember us, they have reason to believe it was all an honest mistake. Everything DuBoff wrote up top this provides background and is quite entertaining in its' own right ... this book can be read with out going back to read them but, you won't waste your time when you do.
Empire Reborn, by A K DuBoff, is as elegant as it is ambitious. Picking up shortly after the original Cadicle series leaves off, this new series quickly delivers us to a new, unfathomable threat to all Taran life. Though this is considered a standalone series, I found it more pleasurable to read being already immersed in the original storyline. An unfamiliar reader, however, will be brought up to speed with key characters and background as the story progresses. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait until the story is continued. Do yourself a favor and purchase this.
Ms. DuBoff’s has given us once again a new an interesting start for what I am sure will be a great series. The characters have depth and the story is riveting. There is plenty of action as well as character development. Having some knowledge of the prior work in the Cadicle Universe would be helpful, but isn’t necessary to enjoy this book. I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review, and like others I purchased a copy.
A great start to a wonderful new series in the Cadicle universe! Incredibly well written, and enthralling characters who suck you in from page one! I couldn't put it down! I highly recommend checking this book out!
I have never cared for synopses because they're seldom well written. So, you won't get one here. But what you will get is praise for another adventure in the Cadicle Universe. This "episode" draws heavily on current events in our world which are cleverly woven them into the story with the customary, and appropriate, magic and science which makes this book a page-turner.
The story starts off with an entity eating a large salvage ship like it is food.. This creates confusion and fear in the Taran Empire. Good characters and world building . The pace is quick , the 400 + pages feels like 250 pages. I liked the book.
I've been following Amy since the beginning and this book doesn't disappoint. There's a bit of over explanation reminding those who haven't read all the other books what had happened already, but it sets up the continuation of this awesome story very well. Looking forward to seeing what will happen in the rest of this new series!
Well done, spins down multiple Taran book's together. Stand a lone book but it will be preferred to read previous Taran universe before. Because it will better explan change events along this book. I really rekommend to read this book. Amy have done it again.
