Bought this new Envy 6455e model instead of the Envy Pro 6455 because the only difference, per BestBuy and others, is that the 6455e comes with 6 months of free Instant Ink and an extra warranty. Received the printer today via UPS (box had huge gash that somehow did not seem to hurt the contents). After reading the terms of the Instant Ink program, I realized it is just a terrible deal. Then while I was setting up the printer with my computer and WiFi using the requisite downloaded HP app, I declined the Instant Ink free trial (which has auto renewal and requires cc). Suddenly the installation program was unable to register my printer and directed me to contact HP Support. After 20 maddening minutes, an actual human on the chat line finally informed me that enrollment in the Instant Ink program is required to use the printer. Wait, WHAT? The printer will not register and finish set-up without enrollment in the ink program. This is an ink scam; you get 6 months of "free" ink (check the terms) but then a useless desk brick if you want out of the terrible program. Boxed up and returned to Amazon immediately.
