Amanda and her friends are Sophomores this year and learning more things in their magical bounty hunter school. Amanda's learning that shifters actually have magic of their own and the others are learning how to fight and defend themselves. There are also some weird creatures in the swamp causing problems. Just another fun year for Amanda and her friends.
I've enjoyed this entire series. Mainly because I like the characters. It also helps that it is well written; with good sentence structure, correct spelling, and good grammar. Those are important to me and the mark of a good writer (and proof readers). What are the "not mermaids"? I eagerly await the next book.
Amanda is a wolf shifter starting her second full year at a high school in the Everglades. Her friends have started to evolve. So has she. This year her main project is to find and refine shifter magic amidst teenage problems. Some she recognizes. Hilariously some problems she does not.
Things that go splash in the night. Who would have ever thought it? Lots and lots of excitement happening in this story. Wolf girl is young and clueless about the guy who likes her. But she can fight and grows plants. Very exciting story.
Amanda is growing and learning. She has a on-again - off-again teacher, trying to help her learn how to use her shifter magic. Will her teacher be able to help her or will she be able to figure it out for herself?
Amanda is the only shifter at the Academy of Necessary Magic. But as a sophomore, she has friends. And she's going to find out about shifter magic, if Fiona ever has the time. Her greenhouse duties, which she loves, are coming along well; no one knows about her little side grow. But Amanda has a knack for sniffing out problems like no other magical in the area. That's how Amanda can help her school, and be her bad*ss self.
Grab a copy - you'll read it straight through and pick up another! TY Martha Carr, & MA for another fun, wonder filled series.
Sophomore year, no more lights out and staying in the dorms, kemana visits, and new friends add to the mix. Amanda has been trying to learn more shifter magic, but her teacher from the Coalition has been rather absent. The year brings more plants, more fun, and definitely more chances for Amanda, Summer and the rest of the gang to get into more magical mischief. Read this in a day, and will reread it again because its just that good!!!
I highly recommend this imaginative, fast paced book, and the series in which it is, as well as the series from which it came, to all readers. As a former teacher, I find the actions of the instructors fascinating. As a former student, I'm amazed at the ingenuity of these students. These books habe something for everyone, and are completely enthralling. Enjoy!
