I've read 4 stories from Scott Snyder and I'm 50/50 as far as liking them. The two I like are Court of Owls and Last Knight on Earth. The two I dislike are the first Metal and this one. As with the first Metal, the story here is just all over the place. It's a hot convoluted mess that doesn't tell a compelling narrative. Instead, it seems more like he's just going for big and outrageous moments, one after the other without a break in between. The Batman Who Laughs has gotten to the point by this book that he's almost a caricature of the original character, which is sad given that he was an awesome character at the beginning, they've just used him to death and they have no other place to go with him than to ludicrous places. The only reason I gave the book 2 stars is for Greg Capullo's artwork, which is the only good thing about this book to me. After this, I'm officially done with this metal nonsense. I removed all of these books from my Kindle.
