In this delightful story, Nick and his dad are going on a camping trip! Nick is excited about going but then he starts worrying about it until he’s feeling anxious. The symptoms of anxiety are listed which is good so that children can understand that these naturally occur when they’re feeling anxious.
When Nick and his dad get to the forest, Nick goes for a walk while his dad puts up the tent. He meets several animals who tell him what they do when they’re feeling anxious and by the time he gets back to the campsite, he feels great and is ready to have a good time with his dad.
The story is told in rhymes and the illustrations are cute and colorful. I had to laugh at the cute picture of Nick’s dad’s beard. It’s so 2020! I am Stronger than Anxiety is bound to keep the attention of children plus they learn to recognize anxiety and different ways to cope with it.
A very helpful book full of techniques to overcome anxiety. The little boy Nick encounters various animals in the forest that teach him different ways to cope with anxiety. It is not quite realistic to see animals doing human things and strange than Nick wasn't afraid of the bear at all. It's a cute story though, and the techniques are definitely very helpful.
This was a cute book about a boy with anxiety. I really liked that the animals are the ones who gave him some ways to help with that. I’m sure for many anxiety starts at a young age so this will be a great book for those little worriers!
This is a wonderfully written book about a little boy who gets nervous before going on a camping trip with his dad. When they reach, the little boy meets some special characters on his walk that help him learn to deal with his anxiety. Great work!
