My usual satirical approach to reviews will be put on hold temporarily to discuss this important book. In today’s world we are all dealing with many important challenges. Dr. Parks book provides an approach to understanding the challenges that many are faced as a result of this COVID-19 pandemic and further looks to address how those suffering can begin to deal with its challenges. Dr Parks has a long history of working in the psychological fields and has made a practice around using both holistic methods and "modern medicine" to treat his patients. His website (easily found with a search) provides great additional resources on a number of different relevant topics. I highly recommend this book both as a practical way to understand these challenges, but also to help open our eyes to alternative solutions to everyday challenges.
Anyone slightly knowledgeable in natural, homeopathic “medicine” will be given prescriptions which feel familiar to what one has read in other books, common to what has been written before, and won’t appear terribly groundbreaking or paradigm shifting. Each chapter is quite short, can be read in just a few minutes, and consist largely of a single brief story to begin each chapter, bullet points of recommendations, and is best suited for all types of readers as this book is written in a stylistic fashion which is concise, free of any technical verbiage, practical in its recommendations, and easily digestible.
What is perhaps this books greatest strength is also its weakness: too concise for the topic at-hand. However, in the all too often traumatic aftermath which the pandemic has wrought upon the entire world, these are the very prescriptions which may help those whose mental health and well-being have been directly impacted by taking ownership over their mental health.

It may also serve mental health practitioners too, in their search for clinical interventions that will guide their patients’ treatment.
