This was such a great promising story, where it did start perfect, very good even, but somewhere along the way, everything went left and the book went downhill afterwards
Nina and Zar were so cute at the beginning. They were compatible but missed out on themselves with Zar holding back thinking he was protecting her and yet she was right smack in the middle without either knowing it. Zar was strong, alpha, a boss and it shows with his actions while Nina, the only thing she wanted was a way to put herself enjoying her dreams. Love found them and the couldn’t fight it.
Now you would have thought we would have gotten a superb story of where mafia boss man found his muse, his soul, he would be courting, spoiling, and cherish and live her? Well for starters, it was there but both being stubborn didn’t act on it until this situation forced their hands, or rather Zar. After this we were led into this chase where the bad guy was not caught and the book ended but continuing through the brother Alistair????? Why not finish with one brother, then tackle the other one? How about her family, well it’s actually that no good for nothing momma, she was not attached.
So overall, why didn’t this brother be done with a HEA before going on to the next with a huge cliffhanger in this one. And for that I truly do not know if I would be reading the rest of this series…
