I got this as a big Fern Michaels fan for both romance & Sisterhood books. This is a nice, clean romance about 4 women who reconnect at high school reunion and plan/go on a singles hosted cruise for New Years. The relationship portions between the women and the men they meet are very well done and enjoyable.
The distraction was something that ought to have been caught at least by the editors or draft readers. I am a frequent cruiser with over 65 cruises, several on ships that are โof the seasโ in name. Many of the descriptions of the ship are of one of the big ships. This appears to be time lined very recent and a check of Key West shows that it would be before the limits being imposed on cruise ships. However, all cruiselines of the size to have as many paid restaurants as this one has have almost everything done on their seapass cards. Boarding was almost right. There are no paper bills .. everything is charged to seapass card and paid at end of cruise. There is no ship that doesnโt allow tipping on top of the automatic tipping. The daily activities listing is not called a manifestโฆ that has a completely different meaning. It is also now on an APP, but paper copies can be requested for the cabin steward to deliver the next days when making up the room at night. There are multiple activities on sea days for every hour of the day โฆ almost as many on port days. Flash mobs are usually limited to repositioning cruises (lots of sea days for practice) as our Choirs. All restaurants have menus and each person at table will order different things for appetizer, sides, main meal and desserts. Singles activities and excursions are planned by the company (separate from cruise line) hosting the cruise. All excursions have many more people and often have those ticketed meet in the cruise ship theatre so that they are escorted to the right vehicles. Alternative is lining up behind a sign on shore. The book descriptions are too unorganized. Sorry, but all of the misinformation/descriptions became very distracting.
