A grand continuation of the Space Pirate story lines. I wish I could keep my tales of adventure half as interesting. I am a little saddened that I have finished it. The series has kept me raptly interested for 16 (or more) books.

It started out with a good story line, a bit rushed, but you could see where it was going. The further you moved into the story more silly and unnecessary some plot lines became. Creating a droid of Wilcox, time travel that was totally unsuccessful and other story lines that felt more it should have been a YA book rather than adult heroes.
The final straw was the drunk commander that was ordered to stay sober, not have one drink, bring alcohol on board their small ship, or go to bars, but he defied those orders so blatantly he should have been confined to his quarters and sent back in leg irons. There was not one thing in any of that that was amusing, cute, or cool. Military people don't find that funny.
If you like far fetched, unfinished ideas, have at it. I don't write reviews like this but this drunk alcoholic commander school was to much.

This is a rollicking fast paced series. A lot going on, that’s why the book is in titled agents of the planetary republic. You would think it would revolve around one main character when you start off the series but you would be wrong. The books are multi threaded plot lines involving different agents as well as their enemies. And when you’re finished not all the plot lines are resolved so the storyline is still open ended. There were times that you would laugh, cry, and cheer for the main protagonist.
They didn’t win every battle and lost some friends along the way.
I would’ve given us a five star review except for the authors pension of sound effects for the guns, I thought that was a little bit amateurish and juvenile. All in all a very good story.

Even with some amazingly bad editing errors which made sentences unreadable this wasn't a bad series. I actually didn't realize it tied in with books I have already read bit that made it better when the old characters came along.

I don't do spoilers so let's just say the story moves along at a decent pace with enough twists and turns to stay interesting. Even near the end things are still sorting themselves out across all of the characters. So, is it a great read? Nope. It has quite a few editing mistakes which detracts from the writing and some characters are shallow but it is still worth your time if you like this author.

Excellent series of 10 books! I loved the action and the constant suspense. It was plenty varied in different environments, and I enjoyed seeing the various ways that problems were solved. I recommend this series to all sci fi readers, especially those who can ignore the somewhat silly sounds used by the author whenever there was a gunshot. I am looking forward to getting started with the follow on series.

Questions were raised concerning sentient AIs and their interaction with humanity but the author avoided trying to lecture or present only one opinion. Action scenes were good with reasonable outcomes. Characters had a chance to grow and change for both good and bad. This follow up series to Star Pirates is well worth reading!
